Introduction

We have been representing victims of injuries and various employment law violations in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2007. We pride ourselves on being experts in personal injury, employment and wrongful termination matters, as well as business disputes. We respond to inquiries promptly and look for the best legal and practical solution in every situation in light of its own unique circumstances. We enjoy educating our clients, so that they understand not only what their best legal and practical options are but also why. We enjoy helping people who have been physically injured or who have been discriminated at work or illegally fired to be compensated as they deserve. I also enjoy reminding insurance companies and employers that when they try to take advantage of people, there is someone who is standing on the other sides and defends the interest of those people, whether they are victims of a car accident or a harassment / illegal firing at work.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing is flexible and it depends on each case and each situation. Generally, the hourly rate for consultations and document review is $300. We often provide short consultations at $185. Litigation defense is billed at $225 / hour.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I first have a phone or e-mail discussion to figure out what the issue is and whether I can help given the law and the facts of the particular situation. This occurs within 1-2 days of the initial contact. I then provide a quote for representation or consultation, and we proceed from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
J.D. from McGeorge Law School 10 years of experience representing employees and employers in labor and employment related issues as well as victims of injuries and medical malpractice. Member of California Employment Lawyers Association since 2008

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I worked as a paralegal at a well known law firm in San Francisco for five years before law school. I enjoyed what I did, and that inspired me to go to become an attorney.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Employees, employers, victims of personal injuries, business owners looking for help setting up business drafting contract and other legal documents.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We won a jury trial slip and fall case in Alameda County in summer of 2016. Everyone (even the judge's clerk) thought I had no way of winning it, but we ended up obtaining a significant verdict to everyone's surprise.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Have a short but specific summary of the project that you would like to hire an attorney for that you could e-mail for their review. Do not hesitate to ask lawyers questions so that you better understand your options. If you hire an attorney for a long-term project (such as handling a case) make sure that he comes across as both knowledgeable and personable, because you will need to communicate with him often throughout the process, and it should be someone you enjoy working with. Ask questions about the law and how it applies to your situation. Good, competent lawyers would be happy to explain and educate.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should think about the specific goal/s they are looking to accomplish by hiring an attorney, whether it's creating a document, avoiding liability, filing a case to get compensation, or any other end result. Ask yourself what you want to accomplish specifically and then say it out loud to yourself so you have a more clear idea of that goal.
