Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our firm has a no fee guarantee, if we do not recover for your case. If you don't receive a settlement or verdict in your favor, you pay us no fee. Our contingency fee is 35% of the recovery if settled prior to litigation.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
-When a potential client reaches out, I am happy to either discuss their matter the following ways: 1. Over the phone; 2. E-mail; or 3. Text message. Based upon the client's needs, I then schedule to meet with the him or her in person, and gather all of the information necessary to pursue the claim. I'm always available for questions, and I want to make the process as easy as possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a proud graduate of Bowling Green State University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude in Criminal Justice. I immediately went pursued my Jurist Doctorate at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law, at Cleveland State University. Since 2008, I have been with the Law Firm of Obral, Silk & Associates, LLC working strictly to help victims of personal injuries. Since that time, I have successfully taken many cases to a jury trial, the Eighth District Court of Appeals, and I have even had the honor of arguing in front of the Supreme Court of Ohio.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
- I have always had a passion for helping the little person. I enjoy a good challenge and am very competitive by nature!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
-I work strictly for those injured by the negligence or recklessness of another in Ohio. My clients range from infants to the elderly, and I will do everything in my power to help those people who have had their lives changes as a result of an injury.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
-I enjoy representing the little person and going up against large corporations and insurance companies.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
-Do not look for the attorney with the smallest attorney fee percentage. The lowest percentage does not necessarily mean that you will receive the best representation. You deserve to be represented by an attorney who personally handles your case throughout the entire claim, not someone who will pass you off to a lower associate to attempt to garner a quick and cheap settlement.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
-Am I hiring the right person for the job? Does this attorney handle STRICTLY personally injury cases or do they do a "little of everything". While I'm sure that some attorneys who handle a little of everything may make a good faith effort in representing you, you should really have counsel who dedicates his or her entire career to personal injury representation so that the attorney is up-to-date on all of the changes and trends in the world of personal injury law.
