Introduction

My name is Ann Thoeny, and I represent people who have been injured by the carelessness of others. As a personal injury attorney, I am frequently battling insurance companies because they do not want to pay you a fair amount for your suffering. I used to work for insurance companies, and I know how they operate. Now I use my insider's knowledge to help my clients recover the damages they deserve for the harm done to them. I have 30 years of legal experience, and I have tried many cases to a jury. I have also negotiated and settled many cases prior to trial. As an experienced litigator, I have the ability to gracefully present your case to a jury and the knowledge to know when to move towards a settlement. I represent people who have been injured in the following situations: - Assault - Automobile accident - Bicycle accident - Skiing accident - Slip and fall - Worksite injury - Wrongful death My consultation is free. Please call if you have been injured and would like to discuss your situation. If you retain me, my fee is 1/3 of the settlement, and I am only paid if the case results in compensation. I'm proud to say I was awarded a Thumbtack Best of 2016 Award

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I receive a contingency fee of 1/3 of the settlement amount or award.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I can do an initial consultation on the phone. If we decide that you need legal representation, I will meet with you in my office. We will discuss the facts in more detail, including your medical and insurance issues. There is no charge for these services as I do not obtain a fee unless you receive compensation for your injuries.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
After graduating from law school, I became a member of the Washington State Bar in 1988. I have been a practicing trial attorney since 1988. I have been working exclusively in the field of personal injury law since 2002. I have the advantage of having worked as a lawyer for the insurance companies, so I am familiar with their tactics.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began my career as a criminal defense attorney. In 2002, I started working for an insurance company as a trial lawyer, defending people who were being sued for negligence.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have helped people who have been injured in the following areas: Assault, Bicycle accident, Motor Vehicle accident, Slip and Fall (premises liability), Worksite injuries, and Wrongful Death.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I worked with a woman who came to me near the statute of limitations. She had been communicating with the insurance companies and thought she could resolve the matter herself, but became overwhelmed. I took her case on and immediately filed the lawsuit. She had an interesting legal liability case and I was able to not only collect policy limits from the driver of the other vehicle, but with some good research and a smart legal argument, I was able to obtain additional settlement monies from the driver of the vehicle that she had just exited.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should be able to state the facts of the incident, including who, when and where - and they should have some knowledge of their injuries.
