Introduction

It’s my passion to help people move better and empower them to achieve their goals. I’ve been a dancer for most of my life and it has fueled my love of movement and desire to connect with others. I train people to help them move well and move with purpose. Whether your goal is to lose weight, improve your mobility, or feel more confident in your skin, I can get you there.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I generally have a standard hourly rate, but do my best to meet clients where they are at in terms of paying for training. I never want finances to be a limiting factor for clients when it comes to reaching their goals. Whether it be a discounted rate, virtual training, or changing our training frequency to fit your budget, we can find a solution together! I also offer discounts if clients pay for multiple sessions up front.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
With each new client, I have a complimentary meeting to discuss their goals, lifestyle, previous experiences with exercise, and potential medical concerns. The goal of this meeting is for me to learn as much as I can about you, in order to create a program that's customized to your life and will help you reach your goals effectively. After our initial meeting, we set up a plan for training based on my recommendations as well as your schedule, lifestyle, and commitments. The goal is always to create an approach that is both sustainable and enjoyable.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have an Associate's degree in Exercise Science and a Bachelor's degree in Dance, and am certified as a personal trainer through ACE. I’m a Moderation365 certified nutrition consultant, and I also have a Kettlebell Athletics L1 certification.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been a dancer for much of my life, and was a dance major in college. During college I started going to the gym as a form of cross-training to improve my dancing. I didn't know what I was doing at first and lacked a lot of confidence in the gym, but was very interested in exercise and the science behind movement, so I started studying and decided to pursue an additional major in exercise science. The more I learned, the more I felt empowered to use the information to not only help myself gain confidence in the gym, but also start sharing with others and help them do the same thing. I earned my personal trainer certification while I was in college, and started working as a personal trainer shortly after graduating. I was drawn to training because of my passion for movement and for helping people. To me, there is nothing more fulfilling and exciting than watching my clients reach their goals and become a more confident version of themselves.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with several different types of clients, ranging in age from 18-60 and coming from all different walks of life. Many of my clients have a goal of losing weight, increasing lean muscle mass, improving their overall mobility, or generally feeling better and more energized. Whatever their specific goal is, I work with each client to give them the tools they need to succeed and get sustainable, lasting results.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When you're looking for a personal trainer, it's important that they make you feel comfortable and actively listen to your goals and concerns. A personal trainer is more than just someone who tells you how to work out - they should be committed to helping you improve your lifestyle in a way that makes sense for you and aligns with your personal goals.
