Introduction

My name is Matt Mickey. I have a passion for movement, training, and service with a Bachelors in exercise science. The American College of Sports Medicine, Gray Cook, and the FMS signed a few papers for me. My promise to you is any age, at any stage, it doesn't matter to me - I will meet you where you are and help take you where you want to go. My mission is to help keep people moving often, free of pain, and engaging the healthy, active lifestyle that we were born to live. I do business first via a series of intake questions, evaluations, and then a movement screening. I use that information to build an individual client profile. With that profile, I build a custom training program designed specifically around your needs, goals, and current abilities. Attacking every angle from muscular imbalances to posture, improving motor control, movement quality, stability, strength, conditioning, and body composition. This approach of first correcting dysfunctional patterns while strengthening deficient patterns (FMS) first ensures successful pain-free movement, allowing for weight loss, proper strength development, and optimal performance.

unfold fold
it changes based on certain factors i.e travel time, number of people, session time, etc.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First I like to see how the client moves, and learn about where they come from and where they are looking to go. Equally important is that we are setup for success from personality to scheduling. With this information I build custom programs for each individual based on how they move, along with a comprehensive plan of action toward their objectives.

✔ B.S Exercise Science w/ a Minor focus in Nutrition ✔ ACSM-CPT for 12+ years ✔FMS Level 1 and 2 and FCS Certified Pro ✔ Fluent in the areas of Myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Active Release Techniques. ✔ Experienced Athletic training through all phases of the training cycle with athletes up to Semi-pro level.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
