Introduction

I have been involved in fitness and athletics since I was in grade school. Having been a competitive swimmer, lacrosse player, collegiate cross country and track athlete as well as a nationally competitive triathlete and a marketing executive in the medical device industry, I understand what it takes to succeed. I am also no longer in my 20's and I realize that most of us are not training for the Olympics. So... rather than give you a "one-fits-all" plan like many other places offer, I'd like to get to know you and understand your goals so I can develop a training plan to help you reach YOUR goals.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First and foremost, I listen so I can really get an understanding of where you are now (in terms of fitness), where you want to be, what you have tried in the past and what is preventing you from achieving your goals. I can then use that information to build a program that will move you forward on a path to reach those goals...and to enjoy the journey!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from Rider University. I am also certified as a Personal Trainer by the National Association of Sports Medicine.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think people should work with trainers they feel comfortable with AND who will be able to help them reach their goals. Hopefully I will be that trainer. I just hope for a chance to have a discussion so you can make that decision after meeting me.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What are your goals? In what timeframe do you want to reach those goals? What time commitment is reasonable per week to work on these goals (both working with your trainer and on your own). What has prevented you from reaching your goals?
