Introduction
My name is Kenny Strickland and I own and operate my own personal training studio. I pride myself on providing a very nice, clean, comfortable facility that is well equipped with everything to help my clients reach their training goals. My training facility is 1500 square feet and is not a membership gym but offers 1 on 1 training or small group training (3 people or less) so there not all the distractions that you encounter in large gyms. My areas of specialty are weight loss-weight management training, HIIT training, Functional training, Toning and sculpting, Athletic sports specific, Strength and Endurance. My CPT certifications are NASM and NCSF. I also hold a NASM-PES AND CES. In my training I employ everything from free weights, machines, Kettlebells, Water rowers, Battle ropes, Bulgarian bags, Treadmills, elliptical machine, stationary bicycles, TRX suspension trainers, etc. I've been an athlete all my life, playing football and running track. I've been a student as well as a teacher in my field which allows me to understand my clients so much better. Listening to their goals, identifying what motivates them, their strengths and weaknesses and how to improve their performance and get better results from their training. I've been training 10 years, but I opened this gym in West Oakland in 2012 and I've truly enjoyed being here meeting and working with so many great people. I love watching my clients grow and take shape as they reach their initial goals and push way beyond what they ever thought was possible. Whether they walked in the door thinking they could only lose 10 pounds but instead lost 25 pounds, or having a goal of doing 1 pull-up unassisted now they can do 10 pull-ups unassisted. These things make me so happy because a lot of times I've encountered people that have really become discouraged and given up on their goals and I just want to be the one to uplift them and say "We can do this"
