Introduction

Group Fitness Classes & Specialized Personal Training Safe, judgement-free, community-based studio. Head Coach and Founder, Brandon Glass, has a degree in physical therapy, is a Certified Personal Trainer, Behavior Change Specialist, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. He uses clinical knowledge and expertise…and a sense of humor…to provide personalized guidance that is fun and changes lives! Here’s a quote from one of our members, Jane: “Before I began my journey at CCF I couldn't walk without pain nor take a step up a curb without pain, let alone climb a flight of stairs without stopping due to being winded and in pain. Today, just over four months later, I am not shying away from stairs any longer and have gained so much strength. Yes, I have lost a good amount of weight but the strength, confidence and endurance I have gained means so much more. And this community and coaches are awesome!”

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Free consults, different pricing options based on frequency, group size, class memberships available, no contracts.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first thing we do is a free discovery call. I want to get to know you and your goals, your strengths and areas of need. You deserve to know if your trainer is the right fit for you before you pay for training. If we decide I am the perfect fit for you we develop our plan to move forward and get straight to work on your goals!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My years as a both a Physical Therapist Assistant and as a coach and trainer have provided me with extensive knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy and physiology, injury prevention, and functional mobility and strength concepts in a vastly diverse population. I have Behavior Change Specialist and Sports Nutrition Specialist certifications from the American Council on Exercise and am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In my time working as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant I began receiving frequent requests from rehabilitating patients, including athletes, chronically injured or ill, and aging, to continue training them after discharge. So, back I went to get certified as a trainer. I have since helped hundreds of people gain control of their lives, whether through lifestyle coaching and habit formation, or highly specific personal training and post-rehabilitation. This profession has always been a perfect fit for me!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have coached and trained a massive variety of humans! Some I have trained and provided regular exercise and workouts, others I have coached and counseled to help change how they behave and feel in their bodies. Weight loss to functional fitness and strength training. From first-timers to seasoned athletes, young adults to seniors. I have worked with athletes to achieve performance-based goals as well as with geriatric clients, focusing on functional fitness. Post rehab, amputees, combat-wounded, tough mudders, golfers; you name it, I’ve worked with it. I do not coach Olympic lifting, MMA, or CrossFit, though I do borrow what I believe is sound and can teach safely from many different fitness philosophies and often help people return to those disciplines after an injury.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
To highlight two favorites: 1. J. came to me wanting to get control of her lifestyle in order to start a family. She and her husband had been trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant for years. An emotional situation. After 10 weeks of my 12-week Clean Coaching plan, many pounds of lost weight, and a totally changed view of her body and her health, she became pregnant and her daughter is happy and healthy! We had three stories similar to this one in 2020. 2. A. came to me after physical therapy for a rotator cuff tear, wanting to return to Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. We worked through specific exercises to restore range of motion and strengthen and stabilize his shoulder. He returned to the mat and has been strong ever since. Another recent project of mine is our Clean Club, an online health and wellness coaching community that allows me to provide ultra high value coaching at a very affordable price. This was a project that took over a year to develop and has become one of my proudest achievements. I also worked with veterans exclusively for five years which presented a unique set of both challenges and rewards. There is nothing like serving those who served.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Communicate clearly and find the right trainer for you: ASK QUESTIONS! Make sure your trainer knows their stuff and covers the basics before he or she starts challenging your limits. It should be fun and safe!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Questions to ask yourself: What do you want to achieve? Where do you want to be in a month? A year? What kind of things need to change? Just exercise or do we need to address eating and lifestyle habits? How much work will you do independently? How hard and how often are you willing to exercise? For your trainer: What kind of experience do they have? Do they have experience with your specific needs? What is their availability like and can they commit to you long-term?
