Introduction

I help people think and be healthy! I assess each client to determine how best to improve their overall health and fitness. I look at all of their current habits in every area of their life to aid them in reaching their fitness goals. I train clients at their homes, video calling, and in the park. I specialize in reshaping your body while building strength. Most of my clientele are business professionals looking to be fit, strong, and in optimal health. I am also a Functional Training Specialist and Orthopedic Exercise Specialist and have plenty of experience working with clients requiring training programs to work around any ailments or injuries. As a former Anatomy and Physiology teacher, I have always been fascinated with the human body and would love to share my knowledge with you! Seeing the excitement of clients when they witness their progress and/or goals is pure joy to me. I enjoy guiding clients to help them change their outlook on health and fitness to maintain a lifelong journey of health. I also offer self-defense and jiu jitsu lessons for both one-on-one and group settings. My martial arts background is a black belt in jiu jitsu and I have been training and competing for the past 12 yrs. I have also been an instructor for 7 years. This martial art uses skills ideal for a smaller opponent against someone larger which is very beneficial for women.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I offer a FREE 30-minute consultation before you begin training. My rate varies depending on location and number of times you train per week. Throughout the year I offer discounts and specials, so please ask about them or *************************** to be on my email list. Rates can vary with in-home training depending on the location. I accept payments by check, cash, Venmo, or Zelle.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I offer a 30-minute free consultation to discuss the client's health and fitness goals along with their past history. During the consultation is also a great opportunity for the client to determine if I am the right fit as your personal trainer. I discuss my methods and my individualized goals for you and the upcoming process. I have the client complete forms about their history and goals. We discuss schedules and proceed from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My 6 ACE certifications are personal trainer, health coach, orthopedic exercise specialist, fitness nutrition specialist, sports performance specialist, and functional training specialist. I am a former Anatomy and Physiology teacher and hold a B.S. in Secondary Education for Biology. I have a sports background in gymnastics, fitness competitions, and jiu jitsu. I have also coached in all three of these sports.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been involved with sports and fitness, since I was a teenager. I began teaching gymnastics when I was 14 and became a fitness instructor when I 20. I have always been involved over the years in some way until I started my business full-time in 2010.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all ages and levels from teens to 70's and from athletes to people who have never exercised. The majority of my clients are business professionals looking to get stronger, become leaner, and have optimal health. I have also worked with clients with various injuries/ailments and found suitable programs for their needs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A client of mine would always refer to herself as weak. I advised her to stop saying weak and replace it with "I am strong". Within a month she was increasing her strength with higher weights and was more confident about her training. She continues to make progress with her strength and attitude toward fitness.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I'd suggest hiring a provider that has qualifications and experience in the area of your needs and focuses on your individualized goals.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I'd recommend thinking through the following: 1. What is your typical client? 2. What is your training style? 3. What is your experience with this type of project? 4. What are my health and fitness goals?
