How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As a lifelong athlete, exercise has always been a passion of mine. When I discovered that I could use this passion to help empower people through their own hard work and dedication, I was hooked. After college athletics, I continued to make fitness a priority in my life and found that I was able to help friends and family with training and nutrition. Encouragement from those I had helped lead me towards an educational path that I continue to this day. After a few years of group exercise training, I began to take on personal clients by assisting them with training and nutrition. As I continued to hone my craft through certification and apprenticeship I felt comfortable to begin working with individuals returning from injury, or those with physical limitations. My path as a personal trainer may have begun as an athlete, but it has evolved into an opportunity for me to help people discover their own strengths and abilities.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from those looking to lose weight and feel their best, collegiate and high school athletes, and individuals with physical limitations to exercise.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Finding a quality trainer is challenging in a crowded market. It is important to find a practitioner that is both knowledgeable and invested in you. Look for someone who is well qualified and takes the time to listen to your story and adapt their expertise to fit your goals and needs.
