Introduction

Hello my name is Emma! I'm a dedicated fitness professional, and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to help you along your journey to a healthier lifestyle! I have about 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, and have been specializing in one-on-one training since 2019. My job is to help you establish goals for your health and fitness, create a customized workout and nutrition plan, and increase your knowledge to help you achieve those goals. I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients, and have experience with age groups ranging from 10 years old - 70 years old. I now hold 5 certifications including: NASM Certified Personal Trainer, AFAA Group Instructor, NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism, and my 200 Hour Yoga Certification through Yoga Alliance. My goal is to keep you engaged in your workouts, to support you, to teach you, and to deliver results! I offer in person training at 2 different private studios in Monrovia and Claremont, at home training, 2 different small group classes at 6 am and 12:30 pm, online/virtual training, and programs you can purchase to workout on your own. Thank you for your consideration!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing depends on which method of training you pick. I have 4 different options: 1. Come to the private locations I work out of; one is located in Monrovia, and the other in Claremont. 2. I drive to your home 3. FaceTime/Virtual Sessions 4. Programming If you purchase 10 sessions or more at a time I add 1 session for free with your package!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First I like to speak over the phone to get a better idea of your goals, needs, and health history. I typically schedule your first workout with you during your consultation. Before your first workout we will take your measurements and a before photo, so you have some ways to measure your progress besides the scale. Then I take you through your first workout, which is typically a very basic strength workout, so that I can get an idea of where your fitness level is at. You then receive your nutrition program, etc. From there we continue to gradually progress!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have 5 different certifications that have each brought me a different set of knowledge. I also have about 10 years of experience working in the fitness industry, where I was able to shadow and learn from some amazing, knowledgable coaches that taught me a great deal!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Initially I started as a sales associate at an Orangetheory Fitness in Brentwood, TN. From there I got my certifications as a group instructor, and I trained at OTF in Pasadena. In 2019 I moved into one on one personal training, and have been focused on building my business since then!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I'm fortunate to have worked with a wide range of clients. I have experience working with anyone from high level athletes to older women fighting osteoporosis. I work with men and women of all ages, and of all fitness levels. I must say that working with pregnant and postpartum women is probably my favorite population to train!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I had the privilege of working with my client Patty, who was going through the process of IVF when we started, from before she got pregnant, through her entire pregnancy until about 2 weeks before she gave birth, and now again 3 months postpartum. It was an honor to help keep her healthy and strong throughout this incredible time in her life!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure you find someone knowledgable, that takes the time to get to know you, and that you can connect with on a personal level.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What certifications/qualifications does the trainer have? What type of clients has the trainer worked with before? Can the trainer work around injuries or health concerns?
