Introduction

Hello. My name is Brian and I have been helping people get stronger and in better shape for 8 years now. I believe that getting stronger improves all aspects of life. I also believe that personal training should be as much about education as it is working out. I am hopeful that I can help you reach your goals while also showing you how and why to do so. I myself have been training for 20+ years and competing in powerlifting for 10 years. I am available to help you in person in home or at Gleason Performance Training in Derby, CT. I also offer virtual one on one zoom sessions and weekly online coaching/programming.

I have options as to what capacity you want to sign up for. I offer a free session to start and am confident we can find an option that works best for you.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I offer a free 30 min session where we can have a conversation about what you are hoping to get out of training and do a short workout so I can get an idea of how to best plan your training.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, a USA Powerlifting Club Coach, Functional Movement Screen Level 1 and Dynamic Variable Resistance Training Level 1.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After working out and being in a gym for about 10 years I discovered the sport of powerlifting. I began training for the sport and eventually competed and fell in love with the sport. I found my way to Gleason Performance Training and began to learn about training and coaching from owner Ryan Gleason. Throughout this time I decided that as much I love training myself, I love helping people train even more. Since then I have dedicated my time and efforts to passing on what I have and continue to learn to help others work towards becoming the strongest and best versions of themselves.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have coached clients at the local, regional and national level for powerlifting competitions. I have also helped clients of all ages reach a wide variety of goals whether it be for sport, health, general strength or weight loss.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask questions. Fitness and nutrition can sometimes be a confusing and frustrating path. There are a lot of different methods and approaches, our job is to find the one that works best for you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What you are hoping to get out training. We should be able to have an open dialogue to help you decide if you want to work together and what you are comfortable doing.
