Why we are different: The unfortunate stigma with personal trainers is that if you work with one, you WILL get hurt. We have a track record for beating that stigma! Our job is to help our clients get sustainable results SAFELY. “Corrective Exercise” means that we train your body to move correctly and with good posture/ alignment from head to toe. This allows us to progress you through your training program safely. It is our PASSION and COMITTMENT to get our clients to their goals with minimal risk of injury! If you jump right into heavier weights or other advanced forms of training without prepping your body or building a foundation first, then you are asking to get hurt! We also make it a point to go above and beyond for our clients through: -Motivational texts/calls -Nutritional and exercise accountability (outside of your time with us) -Advice/extra guidance when you’re struggling. -We also always give consistent opportunities for discounts and free sessions, etc...) We also stand out because our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to eventually LEAVE us and go further than you even thought possible without the need to keep paying! Most gyms/trainers will try to keep you there long term with pushy and aggressive sales tactics, but we want to help you by getting you to your goal safely while educating you on how to keep going further! A lot of times, our clients end up loving the torture we dish out and decide to stay long term. That works, too! =) We love being a part of each and every one of our clients' journeys. It means so much to all our clients and it really is life changing. To be with them every step of the way gives them and us such great satisfaction! In a way, we get to experience the highs and lows with our clients because they always let us know when they had a rough week and tell us how and why they are struggling. Through these ups and downs, we’re committed to helping each client push past these obstacles! We truly are committed to the success of every person we train and strive for excellence in all aspects of what we provide for our clients! Regardless of your goal, we have the passion, knowledge, expertise, and empathy to help get you there! Schedule your quick and complimentary phone consultation! We look forward to being a part of your health/ wellness/ fitness journey! -TEAM RAP FITNESS

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Ideally, speaking on the phone is recommended because after getting to know a little more about you over the phone, it makes the consultation go much more smoothly. The consultation/first workout will cover a lot and will be very informative for both of us! After learning some introductory information about you, we can find the right day/time to book your first appointment. You should eat a small meal or snack with carbohydrates and protein about an hour prior. This first session (consultation, assessments and first customized workout) is like 2 sessions in 1! It takes about an hour and a half. Based on how the first session goes, we can come up with a game plan and we can both see if we will be a good fit for each other and go from there!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Ramon "Rap" Francisco is is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and a Golf Fitness Specialist (GFS) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Rap needs to earn 1.9 CEUs every 2 years to maintain his Certified Personal Trainer credential, but even outside of those continuing education units, he is always reading the latest articles and doing research on training, nutrition, and just overall health!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Rap grew up in a community of physical therapists. His mom, brother, quite a few other relatives and peers were or are physical therapists. Initially, Rap was on the physical therapy track at University of Central Florida, but he had a change of heart after having his first job at Gold's Gym in Altamonte Springs as a personal trainer. Rap fell in love with training and helping people live a healthier, more energetic life through exercise and lifestyle coaching. When he hears his clients say "Rap, my work days go by so much smoother now because I have more energy" with that big smile and gratification on their face, he says it is the best feeling. Rap says "It's extremely rewarding not just for my client for also for myself when they are so excited to see and feel the changes in their body and their health. I have the best job in the world, though it doesn't feel like one!"

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Rap's youngest client was 12 years old and his wisest was over 80 years old. Rap has trained weight loss and weight gain clients. From basketball players and golfers to cosplay models to professional ballet dancers, Rap has worked with a variety of clients. No matter your goal, Rap has the knowledge and experience so help you get there safely!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before a client decides to sign up to train with us, they should ask themselves if they are really ready to commit to this lifestyle change. We tell new clients that there are only 168 hours in a week. On average, you will work with your trainer 2-3 times per week. Results are not determined by 2-3 hours per week with a trainer, but by the other remaining 160+ hours. We can’t control what a client does outside of their time with us. We can advise them on what to do, but we can't force anyone to make healthier choices at home. If you are ready to meet your trainer half way and make the right choices at home, then that is the only way you will get the most out of hiring a trainer! If you sign up and don't make the necessary lifestyle changes outside of the gym, then you won't be making a wise investment. We will be ready to commit to you if you are ready to commit to yourself! We want you to have the success and results you are looking for, but you have to meet your trainer half way!
