Introduction

Hey, I'm Celio Araujo, Functional Patterns trainer and a former D1/Pro basketball player. I work with clients of all ages to help them get out of pain, improve athletic performance, and prevent injuries. Training with me is about developing efficiency: get more out of your body with less effort. I take a systems approach that allows you to create the habits necessary to continually inch towards optimal health. If you are a performance athlete, working professional with a sedentary lifestyle, or an active person looking to minimize pain and stay injury free, I provide a proven blueprint that has helped all types of clients from world champion athletes to people with scoliosis, arthritis, sciatica, and more become the best version of themselves. We are not entitled to good health and a strong body. Implementing the right stimulus on your body can make that journey an intuitive, humbling, and enjoyable experience. Check out my website to see the results clients have gotten working with me!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing is based around how often you wish to conduct sessions on a weekly basis (1-3x per week). There is an additional discount for online sessions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We conduct an initial posture and gait (how you run) assessment. We then create a list of priorities in terms of what functions we need to work on at first and begin introducing corrective and dynamic exercises to help you develop better overall body function. We conduct monthly posture and gait updates in order to track how you improve over time.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am certified by Functional Patterns as a Human Biomechanics Specialist - Level 2 (HBS2).

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
At the end of my college basketball career, my body felt like it was breaking down and I decided I needed to gain in edge as I transitioned into playing professionally. Functional Patterns exceeded my expectations as it not only got me out of pain and feeling tight, but has helped me constantly improve my athleticism as time passes.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I worked with everyone from pro athletes, teens, to those with a sedentary lifestyle (35-60), scoliosis, autism, neurodegenerative diseases. The principles I work from are fundamental to our biology so it allows us to get positive results across several different populations.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look at the results. No matter what a trainer says to sell you on the training, you need to look at what proof they have of the success they've had with past clients. If my results resonate with you and your goals, then we may be a good fit!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
- What are my immediate goals? - What are my long term goals? - What have I done in order to solve my issues, did the benefits last? - What am I willing to give up in order to achieve my goals?
