Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I charge by the session, usually 1 hr @ $85.0” However, if the session is up to 15 minutes longer, I do not charge my clients anything extra. Package of 12 Sessions $1020.00 Stretching Session: 30 min. $45.00

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
A physical assessment for strength and mobility We discuss areas of concern, injuries and surgeries, etc. Then develop a fitness regime based on goals and physical abilities Monitor progress accordingly and educate as necessary in technique. I also explain the different methods I use.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
25 yrs expertise in Health & Wellness dealing with Seniors. Florida certified in Senior Fitness and Personal Training as well as Frail Elders. I have a medical teaching background which allows me to help people with various inflammatory disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, repetitive strain injuries and Balance & Posture correction. I am also trained in helping those with ambulatory issues.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Owning my own business allows me to create programming specifically for the individual. Unfortunately, there is a lot of incorrect information in the fitness industry leading to injury in tendons, ligaments and joints. My top priority is your safety and proper technique.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have had the privilege to work with many types of customers, from non-ambulatory to those who need a boost to get them up and moving again. I also work with the families of some clients and report progress or invite them to watch the session. Although my main language is English, I have limited capacity in Spanish. I work well with European clients as well as 'snowbirds' from the US & Canada.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I worked with a gentleman who was badly injured in an accident leaving his shoulders, arms and hands with limited mobility and pain on movement. We worked together 3x week for approximately 6 weeks, beginning slowly with stretching and light exercises. As he got stronger and more comfortable with our sessions, we progressed to working on range of motion and I'm very happy to see that he has 75% movement back again in these areas at this time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check certifications and reviews Take time to ask questions and define your goals. Make sure your trainer understands your end goal and can help you reach it Be sure to mention any injuries, surgeries, or chronic disorders you may have Give yourself time to get results. Good workout habits don't happen overnight!!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
