Introduction

Greetings! My name is Tonya Iverson and I would be honored to help you achieve your fitness goals. I offer virtual, online and in-person workouts. Virtual workouts are done via video conferencing. Virtual and online workouts can be done anywhere in the world and in the convenience of your home or the location of your choice. The workouts are 45 minutes in length. The best way to contact me after you've sent me a message is to leave me your phone number and the best time to reach out to you. I will respond back to you within 24 hours or sooner. I strongly believe I am the best trainer to help you and not necessarily the cheapest for the following 2 reasons. First, I consider myself a compassionate, progressive trainer. This means I will have compassion and sympathy for your current health and fitness situation and will work right alongside you to overcame your challenges. At the same time, I will push out of your comfort zone and consistently help you progress to the next level so you achieve the results you desire. Second, I meet my clients where they are in two very specific ways. I train them at the location of their choice. Whether its at their home, office, gym, park or other locale, I strive to make my clients workouts as convenient and comfortable as possible. Also, I train my clients based on their current fitness level. I don't believe in a "One size fits all" workout. Everyone has very unique needs, strengths and weaknesses, and its my job to ensure that each individual client's fitness goals are being met based on where they are right now. In addition to being an in-person trainer, I also offer online personal training. This means my client has the option to train anywhere and anytime they would like. The workouts are delivered right to their Smart phone via a fitness app and are always completely customized based on their fitness level. My clients will always have support and accountability from me through regularly scheduled calls. Depending on my client's goals, motivation and budget, I offer 3, 6, and 12-month training packages. Customized meal plans are also an option for all of my clients at an additional charge. Contact me today for pricing and scheduling. What I like most about my job is helping individuals become their personal physical best. My passion is helping that person realize their true potential by pushing them beyond their comfort zone and helping them gain the self-confidence through a healthy diet and exercise regimen.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I offer 3, 6, and 12 month packages based on my client's goals, motivation, and budget. We will work together to come up with the best plan to reach their goals. I also do partner training, bootcamps and small group training, which are priced individually based the client needs and the number in the group.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My process for working with a new customer is conducting an initial phone consultation. In this phone call, I get to know all about the potential client, by asking what their goals, strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, past injuries and possibly health related issues may be. After the phone consult, we schedule a time to meet in-person and perform a fitness assessment. The assessment typically takes about 30 minutes. In the assessment, we perform, a partial sit-up and push-up test for muscular strength and endurance. Once these tests are completed, I then can design a workout program specifically for that client's abilities.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am certified through the nationally recognized organization, Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), afaa.com. I've been certified since 2010. I am also a member of the professional fitness organization IDEA Health & Fitness Association, ideafit.com.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After I had my second child, I gained a significant amount of weight and so I hired a personal trainer to lose the extra "baby weight". Because of the invaluable tools my trainer taught me in the gym and my weight loss results, I was inspired to help others adopt a healthy and fit lifestyle.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with clients of all ages, health and fitness levels. I have worked with a kidney transplant patient, the obese, seniors, athletes, new moms and everything in between. I really enjoy working with women who are looking to make a serious lifestyle change through weight loss, gaining muscle tone and healthy, well-balanced eating habits.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am always proud of the individual strides my clients make in their fitness journeys. One client that I am particularly proud of is my current client, Donald B. Donald started working out with me about 2 years ago in a group fitness class and in a 1-year timeframe, he lost a modest 20 lbs. In April of 2015, he decided to train with me one-on-one. His starting weight was 302 lbs. As of July of 2015, Donald has lost a whopping 37 lbs.! Donald has asthma and high blood pressure, but those ailments have not stopped him from his goal. Donald gives 120% at every workout. He does his workouts on his own and has dramatically changed his eating habits. Donald's high blood pressure has decreased and his breathing is less labored. Donald's goal is to be between 210 and 220 lbs. He is well on his way.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
My advice to a customer looking to hire a personal trainer is to first make sure you are fully committed physically, mentally and financially to working with a personal trainer. A trainer's job is to motivate, encourage and to push you beyond your comfort zone. So you need to make sure you are ready to do all the things your trainer instructs you to do.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What questions a customer should think through before talking to a professional is "Am I going to be fully committed to the process of working with a personal trainer?" Also, "Am I financially able and committed to investing in myself with personal training?" And lastly, they should ask themselves "Am I willing to follow the plan my trainer will set out for me in order to achieve my fitness goals?"
