Introduction

I have been offering personal training & nutrition coaching services for over 16 years. I played soccer during my childhood growing up and as I grew into my teenage years I became horribly out of shape due to poor nutrition habits. I invested in numerous coaches, trainers and certifications & continue to do so now to constantly evolve my exercise/ nutrition programs. My work stands out from others becasue I am attentive to you during our whole entire session. I create and plan each workout according to your goals & needs. I don't just stand in one place or sit on the ground the whole time telling you what to do. I demonstrate, properly guide and teach you how to go through every movement correctly. Whether it's your first time in the gym or you're just a seasoned veteran lifting and training for many years, I can help you. I'm extremely passionate about what I do. My energy for sure should help motivate and push you further than what you thought you could ever achieve on your own. The best thing I like about my job is that as I'm bettering the health of people creating long lasting positive changes while cultivating heart felt family-like relationships. I slowly become your close friend and mentor of training and nutrition. I get to truly know each and every person I train moreso than at your average workplace. We generally talk about, Fitness, Nutrition, & Life. I get no better pleasure than helping someone live a healthier quality of life.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is based off thorough program design. I'm priced higher than most trainers as I'm very in-depth with my plans and training. You'll see and experience that first hand after your very first session with me. You'll know what you need to do on your own, what we need to work on, why we're doing certain exercises and how they are beneficial. Most trainers come in unprepared with no scripted programs and just take you through something random. Trainers can be intuitive and generally come up with great workouts on the fly as I did early in my career. I've grown over the years and have realized not everyone should be trained the same and there should be a plan in place before the workout even starts. I keep everything filed on my Tablet that I'm rarely seen without. When you come in to see me, we're always talking about what you have eaten and how you feeling. When I know how many days per week you're going to exercise and find out what your limitations/restrictions are if any, I'll be able to better build out a quality plan for you. I can send you our pre-planned workouts and email them to you so you have some things to work on and practice on your own or just a cool training regimen to take with you when you are traveling. If there's something you don't understand or get I can custom create a private YouTube video or share several Instagram videos that I create on how to Eat & Train properly. If you ever have an injury or arev recovering from one, I have extensive knowledge on rehabilitation techniques that goes above and beyond traditional training and physical therapy.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
This is kind of funny to me actually. I was 23 years old, and for one reason or another just had this random desire to learn how to dance. I was working out at lifetime fitness and had begun to take some hip hop classes there. I absolutley just FELL IN LOVE with one of the classes from an instructor there! I began to chat with her after class and nervously asked about doing a private session one day as I was still having trouble "finding my groove" lol. I was always a little more on the stiff side and just very tense as I was accustomed to squeezing, holding, contracting and tightening my muscles through out my several years of weight & resistance training. So, I had the private session and felt absolutley embasrassed! The first thing she did was turning on some music. A nice beat started to drop. She walked over to me, stood there and said, "Ok I want you to dance." I said, "Ok", and paused. I started to dance goofily. It probably lasted about a minute of going, stopping, apologizing and starting over. I just wanted to step in a black hole and get out of there! Long story short, we talked afterwards and she invited me to help teach some of her bootcamp classes in a park one day. I taught a few classes with her and had instantly become intrigued on how I can help people transfrom their life through exercising! Naturally afterwards I began taking more classes. I met another instructor who I would talk to after class some. One day he asked if I was a trainer, and I instinctively said yes! He soon then became my first client. As time went on, he urged me to get certified and thought I really could turn this into a business. I have attained many certifications since then, and have fallen in love with training, educating, and motivating my clients to make their health and fitness goals come true!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with people from the ages of 9 years old to 84. I've worked with young kids playing sports, the general person wanting to lose alot of bodyfat, people who need to integrate training pre, during & post rehab, individuals prepping for a photoshoot, couples getting ready for a big trip, wedding or for certain health reasons. I feel what separates me apart from others is helping people rehab from injuries & preventing injuries due to the amount of time I put into my corrective exercise programs. Young or older, never worked out a day in your life to someone who is experienced in the weight room, I can Coach just about anyone to make a successful change and transformatiom. Ultimately, it's up to you to be consistent in your firness endeavors and for both of us to have great communication for your customized plan to work for you.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure your trainer is coming in prepared for a customized workout for you and not just winging your sessions, unless it's an initial assesment to feel things out. True personal training should be based on program design. Focuses of the trainer should be to improve your quality of life allowing you to move freely through full ranges of motion and pain free. Then, of course you want to focus on your Nutrition, Training Regimen, Water Intake, Sleep etc. The whole idea of having a coach is having someone who can give you the guidance and tools to take your body to the next level, not someone who's just telling you what to do.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Please be sure to check that the trainer you decide to hire is certified and insured! It's important that if anything happens to you, you can be safe and protected during any event or accident. working with a high quality trainer should prevent anything like this from happeneing. Always remember there is some risk to exercise. Please check with your doctor before you begin any physical or nutritional program. I believe some of the best training you can get is hands on. Try out your trainer first and make sure you like their training style and how they are with you during the session. What someone says and what someone does are two compeletely different things. Make sure they practice what they preach. See if you would like their style and method of teaching.
