Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
There are many packages and I would like to think there's something for everybody. Also I do offer everyone a consultation session. This consultation is just a basic fitness assessment to see where you're at physically and also to talk about your goals and your needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After we do a consultation I'll sit down and create a exercise program based off of what I seen during the consultation. This will allow me to create a personal training regiment that caters to you. We will sit down at the beginning of second session and I will go over the workout plan that I have design for you and we'll go from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am nationally certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I currently have a personal training certification through them as well as a corrective exercise specialist certification, performance enhancement specialist and I also have a nutrition certification from an organization accredited by them. I am also CPR and AED certified.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I worked with nutritional supplements for about 3 years and really enjoyed helping people from that side of the business. I had discussed training with a few people and pretty soon it just kind of snowballed into personal training full time.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with people from various backgrounds and with all types of abilities. Whether it's young kids wanting to improve the strength and conditioning or it's a middle-aged mother wanting to get back in shape. Each client brings their own set of challenges and that's one of the joys of the job is it keeps you sharp on your toes.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say try to find trainers that are national certified because this lets you know that this person takes their job seriously. A trainer can be a good trainer without certifications but from a professional standpoint certifications let you know that they take this job seriously.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
You should always ask yourself why am I doing this. Find five good reasons why you want this change in your life to occur and that's going to make the change sustainable in the long run. Your journey depends on your mentality and you need to find a greater reason why then why not to go after your goals.
