Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I run a flat rate on training packages. For the elderly it is discounted slightly

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After contacting me we set up a free approximately 20 minute consultation where we go over goals, a short physical assessment to see if there are any trouble areas such as hip alignment, chronic pain issues....

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been in the fitness training industry for 24 years. After receiving my CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) I branched out and became a CPC (Certified Performance Coach) which requires hours of hands on learning. I have also achieved the only Level III CARE (Center for Aging Rehabilitation & Exercise) in the state of KY in my work with the elderly. I have personally competed nationally and internationally in three different disciplines (powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, and strongman) I have won multiple national and one world championship. I have helped countless others reach their personal fitness goals and work exclusively with elderly and independent living senior centers helping the seniors regain and maintain a healthy independent life.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve always loved the gym and helping others out

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with everyone from 12-13 year old girl soccer players, tv news personalities, everyday gym goers, competitive weight lifters, competitive CrossFit teams, to my oldest client being 92 years old. I have had two clients lose over 100 pounds in less than twelve months.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently I have designed and implemented a fitness program at one of the greatest senior living centers in Lexington KY and have had huge success with packed classes and seniors living a pain free lifestyle

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would research and find references for any personal trainer. Find those who can meet your needs and not force you into one particular training style. I have worked closely with some of the best physical therapist in the state.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are your goals attainable have you sat and thought out a clear and defined goal?
