Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have a number of different choices and plans. I also am flexible and willing to cut people a break if there willing to commit to the programs that I create for them. I am in it for the long run with you, and I hope you would be too!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I test your flexibility, your balance, your posture, and mobility in our intro fitness assessment before starting personal training or my small group class. Once you go through the first initial intro assessment and are approved to start. Then I send you a welcome packet that explains how the program will proceed. We will develop up to 1 to 3 goals based on what you are wanting to work towards in performance, nutrition, and wellness. Each class will have a specific modification of movements depending on your level and own personal needs. We progress in the main program every 4 weeks and have a recovery week where we can revisit the goals we established. You also get access to my online app with habit development tools, a exercise library, in app calorie/ macro tracker, and if you are not into tracking I can have hand portion goals set up as well. The 1:1 is all customized for your needs. The small group classes is as close to 1:1 as you can get . We have up to 3 people per class . You will work with your other class mates on strength, flexbility, mobility, and technique . It's fun and supportive and we have an in app community group chat as well for you to connect and support each other. I also offer 5 day a week nutrition and performance advice as well. You can book my classes up to 6 hours before the class starts . This helps with flexibility with your schedule.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have my own Personal training facility. I am ACE certified, CPR certified, a PN Nutrtion certified coach, NASM certified in Nutrition, CES, and Personal Training Specialist. I have been in the field for 11 year now and going strong! I have worked at 4 different CrossFit gyms, one CrossFit gym I only taught Olympic weightlifting through the barbell club supported by the USAW and 2 personal training facilities, I have done group training, weightlifting courses, corrective training for people with injuries, now I run my own studio .

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started when I was 23 years ago, I fell in love with weightlifting and sport training so I got an apprenticeship at a gym and from there I kept growing my education and experience.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with 12 to 14 year old's on an equestrian team and have worked with older individuals ranging from 65 all the way to 70. I have had the pleasure to work with a variety of ages and it has taught me alot about personal programming and how to really read a person's movements and training needs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Right now I am running an all women's weightlifting course called Fit & Fierce Barbella's . It is so fun and everyone works really hard in learning the lifts, habit development, and nutrition. We all support each other and keep progressing together. Very friendly environment for growth and support.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say shop around and find what's going to work best for you. also find a person that you are comfortable working with and someone who has a no judgment zone policy.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I would sit and really figure out what your goal is and why, if its loosing weight or building muscle awesome. Ask yourself why though, why is this important, are you ready for a big change, and are you ready to open up to a person to help you build better habits related to change.
