Introduction

At Gassman Fitness our trainers all have 10+ years of experience in the fitness industry. During that time we have had the opportunity to work with many, many types of clients, take lots of continuing education classes, and learn a lot about personal training. We also all have 4 year college degrees in fields related to health and fitness and hold multiple nationally recognized certifications including: NSCA-CSCS, NASM-CPT & ACE-CPT. Our job is very flexible. We are able to offer exactly what our clients need and not bother them with services that may not be of the most benefit to them as we are not a large corporation. Our scheduling is also very flexible. We are able to train clients at all different times of the day depending on their schedules. *NEW* We are now offering online personal training through Zoom, Skype and Facebook!!! Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our rates are "per session". The length of a session can vary depending on the clients needs, goals and abilities.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We schedule a free consultation with all potential customers so that we can discuss their goals more specifically, determine how we can help them and make sure that it's the right fit.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our trainers all have a 4 year degree in a fitness related field as well as multiple certifications from world wide recognized certifying organizations. such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association, American Council on Exercise, or National Academy of Sports Medicine.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We train clients of all ages (we currently have clients from age 5-98!) and many different goals. You can visit our website for more information on all of our services but we work with anyone from athletes to people looking to lose weight to people looking to rehabilitate themselves after an injury. We don't have one specific kind of client that we work with the most.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure the person you choose has a nationally recognized certification. Ask them about their education and experience.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
As mentioned above, there is a lot of science and work that goes into making sure that a client is doing exercises that are appropriate for them at the correct points in their training. Yes, you can go online or look at books and find thousands of exercises but they might not be the exercises that are right for you. There is also something that is called periodization - this basically means making sure that aspects of the workout (such as sets and reps) are changed at the appropriate time for the client to continue seeing results. Also as mentioned above, you do not have to hold any certifications at all to be able to call yourself a personal trainer. In the training community there are many certifications that you can get. Make sure that the trainer that you're looking to hire has at least one of them.
