Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
$85 an hour/session for one person, with volume discounts. (example pay for 10 sessions in advance, $750 = $75/session) $40 add on fee.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It all begins with listening. What follows is exercise prescription and demonstration.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Over 44 years of rehabilitation from a traumatic brain and spine injury. I have over 50 awards in powerlifting and bodybuilding including: 1983 Mr. Minnesota. 1981 State Powerlifting Champion. Certifications include: 1991 National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Training Certification 1987 US Swim & Fitness Exercise Science Certification 1987 Bally's Heath and Tennis Personal Training Certification

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In 1973 a hit and run car accident left me with traumatic brain and spine injuries. I knew if I wanted to survive I had to get stronger. My right side was paralyzed and my parents were told I would never walk or talk, and probably never see again. I started my own rehabilitation in 1975, won the State Powerlifting Championships in 1981, won Mr. Minnesota the State Bodybuilding Championships in 1983. Shortly after I began to mentor people on my message that anything properly perceived becomes an opportunity to be who you want.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types. My best customers are those who are interested in knowing who they are as a person and are looking for positive change.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I began landscaping my yard 30 years ago, and it's an on going labor of love!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Experience. When you are young almost anything works but when you have experience you learn injury management, and how to lower the risk of injury! To make progress you want to be a little uncomfortable, not too uncomfortable. Those who promise the quick fix lack experience.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Where am I at? What's the process I need to get where I want to go? How long is it going to take?
