Introduction

We take pride in focusing on one person and one goal at a time. This is a training studio, not a gym setting. Clients have the ability to focus and push themselves without fear of onlookers or judgments from others. Each program is uniquely designed to fit the needs and goals of each client. Helping others achieve their fitness goals is the best part of this job. My husband and I opened our studio and have enjoyed building relationships with each of our clients.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I am one of the most cost friendly trainers around. I do this to ensure that each individual can afford to stay a client long enough to achieve their goals. Fitness is expensive and I do not want that to be a hurdle for my clients. This should be something simple to add to your budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We take the initial consult to determine the goal of the new client and then assess their physical abilities. Workouts are designed to achieve the individuals goals discussed. This can only be done through proper assessment.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Lindenwood University Health Fitness Specialist, FiTour Primary Personal Training Certification, natural figure competitor.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started working out in the high school gym over 20 years ago. I wanted to learn how to build strength around my knees so they wouldn't crackle like my mothers when I was older.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with a wide range of clientele from body builders to clients with various health and physical impairments. Our team of trainers have had clients with various health concerns ranging from hypertension, heart disease, stroke survivors, diabetes, cerebral palsy, knee and hip replacements, disc problems, rods in multiple locations including the back and legs just to name a few. We can work around just about anything.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We have recently started a project called Edstrom Fitness Challenge for Kids. For every 10 pounds a client looses 90 meals are donated to children in need in our area through the local schools. In addition to that, Edstrom Elite Fitness also donates $10 to the area schools to benefit back pack programs or Fitness programs provided by the schools.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure and interview more than one trainer. Not every trainer and individual are a good fit for one another. Set up consultations and meet with the trainers. Ask lots of questions and make sure you are comfortable with their answers and their demeanor.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. Am I comfortable with a man or woman trainer? 2. Do they have someone that can help me with nutrition that is certified? 3. Will they listen to me and ensure that my goals are being met and not the goals that they impose on me? 4. What experience do they have? 5. Certifications are important too, but how long have they been training?
