What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My process involves an initial free consultation. During this consultation, I'll get to know more about you and your fitness goals and I'll inform you on my training philosophies and how they will benefit you on your journey. Once we make our partnership official via payment, we can then proceed to embarking on this journey together. You aren't just another number to me. I'll be in contact with you every single day to ensure that you are sticking to the plan that I provide. You're not just paying for a general plan, you're paying for a tailored plan and an accountability partner that genuinely cares about you and is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that you're successful on your journey.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've acquired extensive knowledge and experience from dealing with hundreds of people from so many different backgrounds. A decade of real world experience is what makes me a great trainer.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started in this field be causing after I lost over 20 pounds, going from 225 pounds to 200 pounds, my life changed completely. My confidence improved exponentially and I was finally able to wear the clothes that I wanted to wear. Helping other people enhance their lives through health and fitness seemed like the natural next step for me. At 19 years old, I personal trained to save additional money for my rent about 7 years ago and the rest is history!

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with so many different people from all walks of life. Older men and women, younger men and women, overweight people who want to lose weight, skinny people who want to gain weight and get stronger, skinny fat people that need to focus on body recomposition (building lean muscle mass and losing fat simultaneously), people with different joint issues like bad knees, lower back pain, shoulder pain, etc, people with different allergies, asthma, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My most recent project involved a young lady named Alice who gained fat about 20-30lbs in quarantine. She was already struggling with personal family issues after and being in isolation for months on end didn’t help anything! Since she’s started with me she has had more confidence and has been more motivated than ever before! She even left me a review here on Thumbtack that you can read.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would encourage clients to pick a trainer based on the results that they've provided for others. Also, pick someone who actually had to go through what you're currently going through. For example, if you're someone who wants to lose weight, pick a trainer who went through a weight loss transformation themselves. If you're a skinny person that wants to build muscle mass and strength, go with someone who was skinny and was able to successfully add lean muscle mass and get stronger. Here's why I say this; It doesn't matter how good you look or how much textbook knowledge you have. What really matters is how you're able to help others. As someone who actually had to go through the process myself, I know exactly what you're going through. I know what it's like to have food addictions. I know what it's like to not want to go to the gym for the fear of being judged. I know what it's like to mess up on my diet after a good streak, then get really discouraged and allow the bad diet to go on for days. I know what's realistic to stick to in terms of diet and exercise adherence and what isn't. These are just a few examples, but there are so many more. A trainer like me has the ability to help you in a way that's actually realistic and easy to stick to. I'm able to do this very effectively thanks to the fact that I've actually gone through the process of losing 20+ pounds of fat, building lean muscle mass and strength and also helping several people from many different backgrounds, with many different goals and obstacles that we successfully achieved and overcame together.
