Introduction

My name is Allen Palmer. I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer based in south Charlotte, NC. For years I’ve been helping my clients live happier and healthier lives. Now I want to help you. In addition to two NASM certifications I have a college degree. During my time as a trainer, I have worked in locally owned gyms, as well as the largest corporate facilities. Now I have my own private studio gym, located one mile from the Promenade shopping center near exit 57 on I-485. It is equipped with state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment. The gym is fully insured and cleaned daily to protect the safety of my clients. For clients located in Charlotte I offer in-person, one-on-one training and partner-training. For my out-of-town clients I offer remote/online training. For all my clients I offer nutrition advice, including calculations for protein and caloric needs. For my in-person clients, I also write workouts to use on days when they are not training with me. I am certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and hold three certificates: NASM CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) NASM PES (Performance Enhancing Specialist) NASM MMA (Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Specialist) In addition to his NASM certifications, I am CPR and AED certified. What does a typical session look like? All workouts are programmed specifically for each client’s individual goals. Each session is 50 minutes long and includes: Warm up Mobility work Strength training Core/abdominal exercises Cool down/stretching Do you require memberships or contracts? No. Clients pay by the session and discounts are offered for packages of multiple sessions. These purchased sessions do not expire.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My first session with a new client is free. We go over your goals and develop a plan of action to help you meet theses goals. Then we do a sample workout, so you can see what it is like to work with a professional.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I work with clients ranging from beginners to competitive athletes. My clients range in age from 18 to those in their 70’s.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am pleased for my clients when they tell me their friends or coworkers have commented on how fit they look. Each client's progress depends on how frequently they train.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
