As a certified trainer here in the Vegas valley for over 20 years I have made it my life’s purpose to empower and assist others at accomplishing their individual goals through the most advanced and effective nutrition and exercise strategies possible. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I do everything within my power to develop the most effective training plan possible for achieving your health and fitness goals while still staying within your budget. Just because I have a great deal of experience and have been fortunate enough to experience an awesome amount of successful with my clients doesn’t mean I charge exorbitant fees for my services.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First we should correspond via message or verbally over the phone in order to discuss your precise goals, current fitness levels, injuries, past experiences with exercise and nutrition, and any other questions or concerns you may have. From there we can schedule a complimentary workout/fitness assessment so that you can try out a workout for yourself and assess my abilities. Then from there, we work together to formulate the training plan that will best allow you to accomplish your goals, while still respecting your budget and time availabilities.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, International Sports Sciences Association, International Fitness Professionals Association, Apex Group, and DotFit over my 16 year career. I also attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas for 4 years and am pursuing my degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in nutrition, to elevate my credentials and knowledge base to the highest level I can.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My fascination with exercise and the human body began at a very early time in my life, 3rd grade in fact, as a result of seeing what weight lifting did for my father throughout his own life. My understanding of the human body began with reading bodybuilding magazines all the way back then, and eventually progressed to studying textbooks, studies, blogs, and magazine articles by the time I was a freshman in high school. Over twenty years later I am as fascinated and intrigued as ever by what we’re capable of physically, and therefore always studying and learning more everything I possibly can about exercise and nutrition.

I am extremely grateful for every client I have been able to work side by side with in my career. Over the years I have trained 7 year olds up to a current client of mine who is 82 years young (and still golfing twice per week!). I am always humbled to be able to aid the amazing doctors who call on me as their trainer, CEO’s of multi-million dollar international and Fortune 500 companies, attorneys, TV celebrities, professional Poker stars, former and current pro athletes, and Grammy winning Rock Stars. Most of all I just enjoy helping the person like myself, who just wants to be the healthiest and happiest they can for their lifestyle and situation, and guide them to finding which adjustments and routine will be best for them!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am extremely appreciative and grateful for all of the clients who entrust me with improving their health fitness, and life overall. A few successes that stand out are my client Paul, a father of 4 children and business owner who has been able to shed 120 pounds in 13 months. Another awesome guy and great example of what we’re capable of is my client Kris who has dropped 100 pounds in the last two years or so. His fiancé Andalynn has been able to totally makeover her own body as well by losing 25 pounds and gaining a fantastic amount of tone and muscle simultaneously.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at a prospective trainer’s body of work, their experience, education and even their own physique. Formal education, as well as real world experience “in the trenches” both training clients, and ourselves, are vitally important to being able to help a person accomplish their goals, regardless of what obstacles may be in their way. From there, reach out to 2-3 trainers to see who responds and discuss your goals and their approach. If you like what they say and their professionalism, meet with at least two of them to experience first hand how they work and how well you get along with them and their training style, in order to make the most informed decision you can. This is your body, your health, and possibly a large source of happiness and satisfaction in your life, so you want to be as thorough as possible before selecting your fitness professional.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What is your approach to training (tough, grueling workouts all the time or tailored intensity to the abilities of the client on any particular day/stress level). Does the trainer exercise regularly themselves and follow any particular diet/ nutrition strategy? (How can they empathize if they haven’t gone through it themselves?) How many years of experience do they have and which certifications (why did they choose that particular certification?) Where do you train at and what are your hours of availability?
