How did you get started doing this type of work?
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life, but my journey into personal training started with a passion for helping others feel stronger, more confident, and capable in their own bodies.
I originally began working out for my own health and well-being, and over time, I fell in love with strength training, movement, and the transformative power of fitness. As I deepened my knowledge and skills, I realized I wanted to help others achieve their goals—whether that meant getting stronger, overcoming injuries, improving mobility, or simply feeling better in their day-to-day lives.
I became a certified personal trainer over 10 years ago and started working with clients in various settings—gyms, home training, outdoor workouts, and online coaching. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people of all fitness levels, from beginners to experienced athletes, and have continuously expanded my expertise with certifications in corrective exercise, athletic performance, kettlebell training, TRX, and more.
Now, with Be Fit with Juls, I specialize in helping people train effectively from home, with minimal equipment, while still getting real results. My goal is to make fitness accessible, sustainable, and tailored to YOUR lifestyle—no gym required!
What types of customers have you worked with?

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Finding the right personal trainer is a big decision, and it’s important to choose someone who aligns with your goals, needs, and lifestyle. Here’s what I recommend looking for when hiring a trainer:
1️⃣ Find Someone Who Specializes in Your Goals
Not all trainers are the same! Whether you're looking to lose weight, build strength, improve mobility, or train with minimal equipment, make sure the trainer has experience in your specific goals.
2️⃣ Check Credentials & Experience
Look for a certified trainer with relevant experience. Certifications like NASM, CrossFit Level 1, TRX, and corrective exercise specialties (which I hold) ensure that the trainer has the knowledge to coach you safely and effectively.
3️⃣ Look for Customization & Flexibility
Avoid cookie-cutter programs! A great trainer will tailor your workouts to fit your fitness level, available equipment, and lifestyle. Your training plan should be built for YOU.
4️⃣ Consider Coaching & Accountability
Some people need more than just a workout plan—they need support, accountability, and motivation. If staying consistent is a challenge, look for a trainer who offers check-ins, form feedback, and ongoing support (which I offer as an add-on).
5️⃣ Make Sure Their Training Style Fits You
A good trainer should be encouraging, knowledgeable, and adaptable to your needs. Fitness should feel empowering, not intimidating! Look for someone who makes you feel supported and helps you enjoy the process.
6️⃣ Try a Consultation First
A consultation gives you a chance to ask questions, discuss your goals, and see if the trainer is the right fit for you. I offer free consultations to make sure we’re a great match before committing.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before starting your fitness journey with a trainer, it’s helpful to think about your goals, preferences, and what kind of support you need. Here are some key questions to ask yourself before booking a consultation:
1️⃣ What Are My Fitness Goals?
✔️ Do I want to lose weight, build muscle, improve endurance, increase mobility, or just get healthier overall?
✔️ Do I have a specific event, milestone, or timeline I’m working toward?
✔️ Am I looking for long-term habit-building or a short-term fitness boost?
2️⃣ What Training Style Works Best for Me?
✔️ Do I prefer structured workouts with a set program, or do I want a more flexible, guided approach?
✔️ Am I looking for live virtual sessions, a written program, or accountability coaching?
✔️ What type of workouts do I enjoy (strength training, bodyweight workouts, mobility work, etc.)?
3️⃣ How Much Time Can I Commit?
✔️ How many days per week can I realistically train?
✔️ How long should my workouts be (25 min, 50 min, etc.)?
✔️ What time of day works best for me?
4️⃣ What Equipment Do I Have (If Any)?
✔️ Do I have access to weights, resistance bands, kettlebells, TRX, or just bodyweight?
✔️ Do I prefer training at home, outdoors, or in a gym?
5️⃣ What Kind of Support & Accountability Do I Need?
✔️ Do I need weekly check-ins, form feedback, or extra motivation to stay on track?
✔️ Am I self-motivated, or do I need structured accountability to stay consistent?
6️⃣ What’s My Budget?
✔️ Am I looking for individual sessions, program-only coaching, or additional accountability support?
✔️ Do I want to invest in long-term coaching or start with a shorter commitment?
