Introduction

Hi! My name is Stine (pronounced Steena). I am a Certified personal trainer/Corrective exercise specialist through NASM, with a BA in dance and movement counseling from The Norwegian College of Dance. I am also a certified pre-and postnatal coach. As a former professional dancer, my body has always been my instrument and I truly enjoy moving. I have made the transition to training and fitness and now love to inspire and challenge clients to achieve their ultimate personal fitness goals. For 10 years and counting, I've trained students of all ages, levels, and physical conditions through barre, dance, sculpt, strength training, and yoga methods. Past and present places I have worked at include esteemed NYC-based studios like Yogaworks, Alo Yoga, Athleta, Lululemon, Stuytown Fitness, and Bodhi Sculpt by Jason Bayus, as well as private home gyms. Today you can find me at studios and gyms in the Hudson Valley. I also meet the demand and offer Zoom/video instruction and go to clients' homes. When I'm away from the studio, I can be found enjoying the outdoors, visiting my native land of Norway, performing and dancing in projects, and teaching/choreographing first dances to engaged couples. I have a special warm spot for helping people with cognitive disorders and I helped run a nonprofit dance and music therapy outreach to patients with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. I believe that engaging the physical body with mindfulness will help develop greater self-awareness and promote optimal health for everyone.
