What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Step 1. Initial Phone Interview – We begin by scheduling a quick phone call. This gives us a chance to discuss your goals, any injuries or limitations, and see if we’re a good fit. Step 2. First Session – Next, we meet for an initial session where I assess your movement, strength, and overall fitness level. This helps me tailor the program specifically to your needs. Step 3. Choose a Package & Start Training – After the first session, you’ll choose a package that works best for you. We’ll set a training schedule and begin working consistently toward your goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’m a NASM Certified Fitness Instructor with a Comprehensive Pilates Certification from Polestar, which emphasizes movement science and rehabilitation-based practices. I’m also CPR certified to ensure client safety during all sessions. I completed my yoga teacher training at the Integral Yoga Institute, where I was trained in a holistic and mindful approach to movement and breath. Additionally, I’m a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), allowing me to support clients through a well-rounded combination of fitness, lifestyle, and nutrition guidance.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I used to consider myself “skinny fat,” but everything changed after having a baby. I realized that if I didn’t take care of my body, it would start breaking down and that was a wake-up call. I began working out at the gym and quickly fell in love with movement. That passion led me to want to help others on their own journeys. I started by graduating from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and becoming a certified health coach. I initially worked with friends and family, and it was inspiring to see how their awareness around health started to shift. Wanting to deepen my approach, I completed yoga teacher training at the Integral Yoga Institute, focusing on Hatha yoga. From there, I pursued more in the fitness industry by attending the Focus Personal Training Institute and becoming a certified fitness instructor. Along the way, I discovered the transformative power of Pilates and knew it was a necessary complement to any fitness routine. I earned my Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Polestar, and now I integrate all of these modalities to help clients build strength, awareness, and sustainable well-being.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with a wide range of clients from highly fit individuals looking to level up their training, to those managing health conditions, recovering from injuries, or navigating body limitations. My clients have ranged in age from 18 to 75, and I tailor every session to meet each person’s unique needs, goals, and abilities. I’ve also worked with athletes like runners and tennis players to help improve their performance by strengthening supportive muscles, improving mobility, and addressing functional movement patterns.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for someone who listens to you, understands your goals, and takes a personalized approach rather than offering a one-size-fits-all program. Make sure they have credible certifications, a solid understanding of movement and anatomy, and can adapt sessions based on your fitness level, limitations, or lifestyle. It’s also important to feel comfortable and supported your trainer or coach should motivate you without judgment and help you build long-term habits, not just quick fixes. Trust and connection are just as important as credentials.
