Introduction

I am an experience ACE Personal trainer, Health Coach, and Functional Aging Specialist I also teach Mat Pilates and TRX training. I specialize in strength training, toning, flexibility and circuit training to promote weight loss. Workouts are based on your specific fitness goals. I keep the workouts challenging and fun. I listen to my client needs and concerns. I am able to modify the exercises as indicated. I use a variety of equipment including free weights, bands, medicine ball, Bosu, and TRX. I have an advanced degree in Corrective exercise to help clients with knee, hip, shoulder and back issues. I teach Pilates for core strengthening and Yoga for stretching. I provide training Personal Training on Long Island, NY. In-home and studio training in Garden City. Visited my new training location in Rockville Centre. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am certified in Personal Training through ACE (American Council on Exercise) and Hofstra University. I also have an advance certification in corrective exercise from NASM. Certified in Mat Power Pilates. CPR certified Every 2 years, I am I take 16 hours of continuing education classes. I read various fitness journals and attend seminars yearly.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I love to exercise and spend a lot time in the gym. Members would ask me for help. I was offered a job.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a variety of clients, ages 18-70. Most clients are looking to lose weight, and strengthen muscles/tone. I have some clients with back, knee,shoulder and hip issues. I also work with client with flexibility and balance issues.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would verify the Personal Trainer credentials. The trainer should be certified through a National recognized organization,such as ACE and NASM. Don't select a trainer based on price alone. Experience is key. Meet with the trainer to make sure you feel comfortable with them. The fitness trainer should be aware of your goals and any limitations that you have. The trainer should be able to modify workout to fit your needs.
