How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was heavy in the past, and I know the feelings that come with it. Losing weight and finding fitness changed my life. It helped me grow in many ways in confidence and even with patience and discipline. I wanted to give people that. I wanted to be their stepping stone to a better/healthier way of living.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with clients as young as 10 and as old as 80. I love training any age and seeing the differences in why they're interested in fitness. It's great to give back to the 80 year old to be able to do everyday things in life with ease and great to give knowledge to an upcoming athlete . I love seeing a variety of people. I was a previous strength and conditioning coach for mason highschool. All customers I’ve worked with have had different goals and different situations and barriers they have had to break through and overcome. Athletes, military, professional golfers, ex athletes, blast injury victims, austistic, Down’s syndrome, rehab patients ; I’m well rounded in many different types of customer experience.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Building my website with no prior knowledge of WordPress or how to build it. It took me a couple of months and it's still in the making.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find someone who really cares about you and your goals. Find someone who will debunk your fitness myths and help you find a Grey area for your lifestyle while achieving results. The perfect plan is to find something to fit within your schedule and workload. Let the exercise and nutrition plan work for you , not the other way around. Some folks may not be able to work out 5 days a week and maintain it. Find whats optimal for you. Following a 6 meal a day eating plan may not be optimal; find someone that could help you with flexible dieting or mindful eating. Many people search for what is over the top and not what is optimal for their lifestyle. The problem with that over the top mentality is it causes many to give up. Optimality will win every time in fitness for the long term.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It depends on the clients goals, but broad ones are: what are the trainers credentials? What are his experiences in/with? Are we a good fit for each other? Can I trust this person with my nutrition and fitness goals? Why? Those are a couple I may ask if I were to hire a trainer
