Introduction

I was born and raised in Moldova Republic and migrated to United States when I was 20 yeas old. I'm now a certified (15 certifications) personal trainer based in Philadelphia. I’ve been doing personal training full time since 2011 training hundreds of clients of all backgrounds and genders in NYC, Atlanta and Denver. I also coach personal trainers by doing seminars and workshops. My training methods emphasize progressive calisthenics. Accordingly, my program design is built on a principle of increasing strength and skill level that results in dramatic improvement in body composition when combined with proper nutrition. I've spent a significant amount of time on my education. I have attained 15 various personal training certifications and have attended dozens of advanced fitness workshops and seminars with some of the best strength coaches in the world. I'm constantly studying and reading about new advances in fitness to incorporate into my training methods. Languages Spoken: English, Russian, Romanian.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
PRICES vary from $110 to $155 for 1-on-1 depending on training frequency (NO GYM MEMBERSHIP FEES).

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
As my new client you’ll get a complementary fitness assessment where you’ll perform a movement screen that will give me some important information about your strength and mobility. We will go over your fitness goals, medical history and more. By the end of your consultation, I'll be able to design your program as well as make a recommendation about training frequency, intensity, volume and other important variables of your future training program.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I think that best trainers never stop learning! And I definitely strive to be the best personal trainers I can be , which requires me to constantly invest in my continual education. I have dozens of certifications and I have attended many workshops lead by some of the top professionals in the industry. I currently have 14 certifications.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After migrating to the US, I wanted to have a meaningful job that would allow me to help people live better and I found it in personal training.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all sort of clients including athletes of various sports, professional models, etc. However, vast majority of most of my clients are regular people with desk jobs who want to lose weight, get stronger, etc. My youngest client was 10 years old and my oldest one was 82. I also have experience and credentials to work with pregnant clients.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't just look for trainers with experience or recommendations. Make sure to check your trainer's credentials to see how many certifications they have, what books did they read, etc. Last thing you want to do is to hire a trainer with 20 years of (part time) experience with 1 certification that they took online in 1998 that has probably expired. Good trainer never stops learning!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Ask for certifications and similar experience. Have questions specific to your fitness goals that your future trainer should be able to answer.
