Hi, I'm Ross and I specialize in at-home personal training. Does commuting to the gym or being intimidated by the public atmosphere always get in the way of maintaining the habit? With my in-home personal training service, I come directly to you, providing a customized fitness experience tailored to your needs. Stay consistent, save time, and achieve your fitness goals right from the comfort of your own home. I started bodybuilding when I was 12 years old under the guidance of my older brother and it quickly became one of my life's greatest passions. I have experience training under every fitness philosophy you can name (bodybuidling, powerlifting, crossfit, boxing, kickboxing, yoga, HIIT) and have distilled my 18 years of experience into the top movements that provide maximal result with minimal joint impact in a way that keeps training exciting and prevents boredom and "couch relapse." In addition to all of this elite level training experience, I am a certified ACE pro personal trainer which is one of only two PT certifications recognized by the NCCA. I am also a CPA but I don't want to do your taxes;) My sessions typically consist of strength training, high pace body building, boxing for cardio, and assisted stretching/trigger point therapy at the end, but this can vary depending on the individual client's needs and preferences. I consider weight loss and strength/muscle gain to be particular areas of expertise, however, my extensive and diverse background in this industry has given me the versatility to help anyone achieve their unique goals in fitness and health. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I don’t discuss pricing until after the free consultation. I don’t ask for value until I have demonstrated value in return.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We hop on the phone for a free 15min consultation in which I get a clear understanding of where you're at, hurdles you've been facing, injuries/limitations etc. Taking all this into consideration, I'll breakdown exactly how we'll go about achieving your goals through exercise, diet, and steps (10k per day!). We'll then schedule a free one-hour consultation where I'll assess your strengths/weaknesses, talk through bad habits and how to break them, and finally walk you through a typical personal training session so you get a clear sense of what you can expect if you sign up with me. People love BOXING at the end for a fun and challenging cardio blast!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an ACE pro certified personal trainer with 18 years of experience in Bodybuilding, Olympic Lifting, CrossFit, Kickboxing, Yoga, HIT and more. What sets me apart is my boxing experience. I love to see clients face light-up when they throw their first power punch or long-form combination. The confidence they build from knowing how to defend themselves is like nothing else the fitness industry can provide.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been bodybuilding since I was 12 years old and it quickly became my life's passion. Believe it or not I used to be a CPA and held a corporate job until the pandemic hit and I realized I was miserable, sitting on the couch eating garbage, drinking, smoking etc. After hitting an all-time low I knew the only way out was through fitness. I brought myself back to health and realized there are many more people out there just like me who are struggling with mental health stemming from poor exercise/dietary decisions and I can help them through the same routine which restored me to sanity/confidence. If you are feeling hopelessly unmotivated, trapped in your own body, I get you!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Old/young, weak/strong, skinny/thick. You name it I've had it! I've worked with knee injuries, shoulder issues, asthma, frail bones and more. Whatever you're issues are I will meet you where you're at! There is always a way to work around these issues!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I had a client drop 30lbs in a 3-month span which was incredible considering there was a ton of muscle gain as well. I also had an 80-yr old lady go from not being able to walk to throwing haymaker punches and using head movement (check out the video on my instagram @godbod_fit).

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find someone who will challenge you but also make it fun enough where you will want to keep coming back. Great programming is par for the course but consistency is the key to success and you're not gonna get that when every sessions is brutally hard. Find someone who is going to be considerate but also tell you the truth about your situation and hold you accountable to correcting the issues.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Have they been in your shoes? Do they know what it's like to feel unmotivated? Do they know what it's like to be addicted to food, substances, TV? It's great that some trainers are former athletes but if they've been fit their whole life they won't get your struggle nor understand the nuances in the training/motivation that's needed to get from point A to point B.
