Introduction

“There is no one-size fits all method of training; individual goals and abilities must be taken into account. Let me help you find the right program for you.” I founded Built By Becker LLC in May of 2020. I have been a trainer for 6+ years, specializing in Functional Fitness, Crossfit, Olympic Weightlifting, and Running. I also have a background in Movement Mobility and Nutrition. I work with clients of all ages, and many different backgrounds. My firm belief is that exercise is an expression of self, and everyone should find a mode of exercise that brings them the most enjoyment. This will allow continued pursuit of health and wellness in the least stressful way possible. This belief system is shown in how my clients are trained, and many of them have found, and continue to find, success in their health and wellness journey. We provide fitness and nutrition coaching, as well as specialized coaching in sports and athletic events. Send us a message today so we can help you achieve your goals!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I became fascinated with health and fitness in high school/college while playing baseball. I enjoyed the process of training and recovering and the positive affects it had on the human body. It led me to focus my own health and exercise on becoming the most well-rounded/ healthiest person I could be. After a little while people began asking me for fitness advice and shortly after I decided to make a career out of helping others achieve what I have; a state of high quality physical well-being, a positive self-esteem, and an overall happiness with life.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with clients from a wide age range, 10 years old to 75 years old. I’ve worked with clients just trying to stay healthy to collegiate athletes. I’ve worked with clients looking to build strength, to clients looking to lose weight.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I’m currently working with a client who has lost 35lbs (175lbs to 140lbs) through diet and exercise. The weight took about 4-5 months. I am fond of this journey not only because of the weight loss, but also with the lifestyle changes she has made that she continues to implement to this day.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ensure that your trainer is certified in the areas you’re looking to work on, and also ensure that they practice what they preach. If you want to run your first 5k race, then hiring a trainer who only specializes in weightlifting is not your best bet.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What are my short and long term health and fitness goals? How much time and effort am I able to devote to reaching these goals?
