Introduction

My focus is on giving everyone a completely personalized experience based on there current fitness and life goals. I’ve been working as a trainer for the past 6 years and have been fortunate enough to help a lot of people from different walks of life with different goals reach their full potential. I also offer an online option as well for those who have a limited schedule. For my in person clients I work out of a private studio gym in West Seattle. I also offer in home/apartment gym training primarily in U District, Queen Anne, Magnolia, SLU, Cap Hill and Belltown/Downtown.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I start off by accessing a clients ability to squat, lunge, hinge, push and pull. From there I design a custom program that takes into account limitations and the clients goal to give them the quickest results possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I studied exercise science at Central Washington University before I worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the men’s basketball team at Olympic College for 2 years. I have 3 years of experience as a personal training director at LA Fitness.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Fitness has always been a way of life for me. I started training my friends when I was in high school. I was fortunate enough to attend Central Washington University to study Kinesiology. Following my time as a student I’ve been fortunate enough to be a head strength and conditioning coach for the men’s basketball team at Olympic College. After my time at Olympic College I was able to be a head trainer at multiple different LA Fitness locations and refine my training. I welcome anyone with fitness goals looking to improve themselves.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with a wide range of clients with goals such as weight loss, muscle gain, and corrective movement/injury prevention. Giving all of them a custom program while also following fundamental movement patterns such as push, pull, squat, hinge, and single leg patterns. I also consider myself to specialize in training athletes. I served as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach for 2 years and nowadays I volunteer and coach high school basketball. I currently work with many beginners and gain a lot of pride in transforming there outlook on strength training and fitness into an activity they enjoy.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A project that I’ve been working on recently that I’m very proud of is my work with my client Alex. Alex came to me about 4 months ago not happy with his current fitness level at about 280 pounds looking for answers. It is now 4 months later and after months of hard work he has lost nearly 20 pounds. We still have far more work to do but his gains in strength as well as fat loss have been nothing short of monumental.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would always recommend that someone looking for a new trainer do there homework and make sure they have goals that they’re looking to accomplish. This makes our time together far more advantageous because it already gives the trainer an idea of how to craft a program that meets the clients goals

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1) have you worked with clients that have similar goals to me in the past? 2) what does your typical program look like for someone with my goals?
