Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is fair to the quality that I give as well as equipment that I have insured. Like any profession I do have overhead as well as provide for my family. I am always willing to speak about price, but please do not assume bartering to be an opportunity for a discount!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first thing I do is ask a few standard questions to get an idea before the shoot. The day of I sent out a reminder and set pre-expectations. Then once we have arrived at the location, I communicate what we’re going to do and how they should move as well as naturally be themselves! Communication is your friend, and I have found that the more you communicate the more comfortable the client will be!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
The knowledge and training that I have all were gained in the process of just taking pictures, and being under great men and women willing to show me the right way

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Back in 2015 I was gifted at Nikon D 3200. It was during a time of depression for me and taking pictures was an outlet. Since then I have retired that camera and haven’t put down a Camera sense!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Parents, college students, more seasoned individuals, corporate offices, and small businesses! You name it I probably worked with them.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I got the opportunity to do a family of three. The mother and children were so close, comfortable in front of the camera that it made the shoot enjoyable! We created some great images in the process!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don’t look for the lowest price individual! Eight times out of 10 price will reflect a persons intentions as well as quality and maturity. Anything worth having, is worth paying a premium for. We are dealing with memories your, and you should want the best!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Their budget. Be clear about what you would like to spend and do research in the process! Money effects are mental state and if you’re not confident with your photographer but spending a lot of money it’s a good chance it’s going to show in your pictures.
