Introduction

I’m Mackenzie, a film and digital photographer based in the Bay Area! I love blending film and digital photography for engagement shoots, creating crisp images with an artistic flair. Collaborating closely with couples, I take their vision into account, welcoming pose and location requests, and I edit each photo individually to ensure a unique touch. I have 5 years of experience and multiple engagement shoots in my portfolio. Shoot locations, timing, and packages are flexible. I hope that we can work together!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
- Full film (4 rolls) and digital combo shoot: $450 (200-250 photos returned) - Mini film (2 rolls) and digital combo shoot: $350 (100-150 photos returned) - Digital only shoot: $250 (60-90 photos returned) - Film (4 rolls) only shoot: $300 (50-70 photos returned)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. I will do a consult phone call/zoom to understand what you're looking for, poses, locations, outfits, brainstorming. 2. Meet on the day of the shoot at our chosen location and start from there! I like to start sessions around 8/3:30am to capture the morning light. But am flexible with time of day! Shoots last anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on amount of locations, outfits, etc. 3. I go into edit-mode! Photos are usually developed, edited, and delivered back within 1.5-2 weeks of shoot date. 4. I deliver a digital portfolio, shared album, google drive, and webpage with photos. And return the original rolls of film. I am flexible with how the images can be returned. 5. I am happy to edit photos differently or make adjustments if any needs come up after final photo delivery.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began shooting film in 2018, distinctly spending a lot of time honing my skills during 2020. After consistently shooting every month for multiple years, I launched my website and portfolio in 2022 and began showing some work in local San Francisco galleries and art collectives. In 2024, I found the balance between film and digital and embarked on engagement and special occasion photography!
