Introduction

I’m an award-winning boudoir and portrait photographer with over 20 years experience, and am also an accredited Portrait Masters photographer. I always make every effort to make it the best experience possible for my clients, and I treat everyone like family....every session means the world to me, and as a result, many of my clients become dear friends. My goal is always to take the best photographs of my clients that they have ever seen! In addition, I fully guide every session in posing and expression...you need no experience in front of the camera! What I like most about my job is that I am given the opportunity to record special moments in people's lives...it's so touching and a huge honor. In addition, I get to know so many interesting and lovely people...it's extremely rewarding!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Client referrals who book and shoot with me garner the REFERRER a waived session fee for their next photo shoot!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Typically we have a phone consultation to go over what they want to accomplish with their session, discuss wardrobe and locations, and I send any appropriate paperwork or guides along with the contract.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have studied photography since middle school. I continued to study in high school and college, and completed the New York Institute of Photography program. I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years. In addition, I modeled in my teens and early twenties, so I have experience and understanding of being on the other side of the lens.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Pure passion for the craft. I remember taking photographs at a very young age and just loving it. I was also fascinated with my family’s old photographs, from before my time. I took photography courses and was in the darkroom in middle school, and continued through high school and college. I shot my first wedding, solo, at age 20.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types, all personalities. That’s what makes my job so interesting and fun!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A recent project I'm quite fond of is a session for images for a dating site. My client was extremely uncomfortable with being in front of the camera, and the images had to be shot in real life scenarios outdoors in public. I was able to get some great shots of her despite her discomfort and fears and I honestly think she ended up enjoying the session and being more comfortable in front of the camera than she thought she could be. SUCCESS!! :)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look at a few photographers for sure. You will be drawn to one more than the others...choose this one! Be sure you're on the same page regarding your expectations of the session. Trust your heart and their great reviews!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What do I expect to achieve in this photo shoot? 2. How many photos do I think I'll want in the end? 3. Do I want digital copies only or prints and products also? 4. How much time will it take in my opinion? 5. How fast do I need the images turned around? 6. Does the photographer I'm considering accept the payment form I'd like to make? 7. Does the photographer I'm considering appear to have the experience required for the job? 8. Does the photographer I'm considering have great reviews?
