Introduction

I am very creative with the way I use light. This adds an added emotion to my work. The people I get to work with and having my own pride of the finished product I create for them. I love that my job is basically a tool used to help unite and strengthen families. Celebrating the new life of a newborn invited into the family, new life beginning when a couple become one on their wedding day and seeing that new life transition to many wonderful new milestones in life.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Yes, more details regarding my pricing may be found on my website or blog.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
For starters let's connect! We will determine what will be the right session, location etc for you. To reserve at session a $100 retainer is required and the remainder is due at the session. Following the session an online gallery is posted. Images can be shared, prints ordered as desired. For each of my clients, I will advise in what to wear and bring or otherwise prepare for a session. We make the process as stress free as possible!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a BA Degree in Film from the University of Utah. I have captured over 100 weddings. 100's of families, couples and newborns

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always been passionate behind a camera. Both with cinematography and photography. My friends started hiring me and the bud of a new business was born back in 2009.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Engagements, bridals, weddings, newborns, seniors, families, and maternity. Also Save the Date videos.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I shot a wedding with a vary large bridal party and family to work with, a venue with only semi preferable light on a rainy day with limited backdrops to work with as originally was suppose to be a garden setting. It poured rain most of the day. Regardless, we made it work. I loved the outcome. The bridal party was impressed with how I handled it. I even had a couple from the wedding party compliment how impressed they were at my attention to detail and handling the weather issue in comparing to their wedding day and how much they didn't care for their photographer. The bride and groom loved the photos and have referred me several times to friends.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Imagine yourself in the place of someone in many of my photographs. Can you imagine displaying it? Make sure the personality you want is present. When we get together for a session, I will help to ensure what we capture is going to be you. I have a good sense for what might be too serious or too silly for my clients.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It is more than pushing a button. Knowledge of light, color, composition, making people feel comfortable, having the right attitude, ability to capture true emotions are just a few of the many needed tools in being a successful photographer.
