Introduction

GCPhotographers capturing the moments that matter to you the most. Hey, I’m Chris! Nice to meet you. I am the head photographer at GC Photographers and we specialize in bringing your dreams to life in a photojournalistic way that tells a story that captures the moments, and leaves a lasting impression. GCPhotographers is an insured business based in New York City, Maryland, and Northern Virginia but also serves the borders far beyond. GCPhotographers specializes in lifestyle photojournalism, portraiture, and graphics design. Contact me today for more information about my services. Payment plans available. The reason I gravitate towards wedding photography is that I love to support others. I enjoy celebrating others joy and what better way to be in a support role than to help someone celebrate one of the most special moments of their lives. I want to see you all have a fantastic time, and I want you to look back at your pictures and feel the day. And that’s me. Let’s connect and share this special moment of your life together! Please be aware that I may charge a travel fee if their area is not that really favorable to me compensation wise. For example: If I covering a 4 hour wedding within 40 miles travel of 20902, the cost will increase based on travel outside of this area but this is negotiable so let's talk. I am looking forward to meeting you 🙂. Side Note: If you would like to shoot in Washington DC around the Parks and Historical Areas, please make note that i is not free to shoot in these areas. The minimum location per day is $50 (1-10 persons) with $90 application fee that needs at least two weeks to be approved. For all government related events, I understand the secrecy when it comes to having footage not go public. I have an active secret clearance and we can negotiate everything in our discussion and contract.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Everything is negotiable. Take a look at the package prices on my site verses here. Packages can be tailored. Please be aware that I may charge a travel fee if their area is not that really favorable to me compensation wise. For example: If I covering a 4 hour wedding within 30 miles travel of 20902, the cost will increase based on travel outside of this area but this is negotiable so let's talk. I am looking forward to meeting you 🙂.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Outline their needs while making sure they are confident in knowing that they will receive the best service. I love what I do and you will be another to see it as I celebrate with you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I went to school many years ago for photography to make sure that I was on the right track with what I was enjoying. I mainly went to learn about photography terminology. Besides that, I have lots of magazines subscriptions and study many techniques from all over the world. Outside of this, I am working on completing my MBA.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Family and friends encouraged me while just having fun with a simple point and shoot. Who would of known that one of those photos would have been published.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Customers requesting coverage for weddings, engagements, maternity, nude projects, boudoir, couples portraits, modeling work, celebrities, military, and editorials from all backgrounds and culture. My goal is to make you as excited as I am all the time about what I do.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recent!!! I enjoy surprising a bride with all that I will do on their wedding day. The project is the take care of the bride and groom and through the days or months leading to the wedding, we are communicating well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Quality over quantity. The biggest camera does not mean a thing but it doesn't mean I don't have one. The longest lens does not mean a thing but it doesn't mean I don't own one. You have to have fun at all times. For me, I love what I do. It's not always about the money. I enjoy results and the happiness of my clients. Another reason I have been doing this for over 19 years.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are you Insured? What are your back up processes? What is your shooting style and approach? Do you work with an assistant or 2nd photographer?
