What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
01: For Portrait Sessions
We'll meet so I can learn more about your vision, create a vision board together, and from that, I’ll create a proposal. Once you have chosen the session, we’ll pick a day and date and prepare you for the photoshoot! After the session, you’ll get an online gallery where you can select your favorites that I will edit and retouch. The final step is the delivery of your finalized gallery, where you can download your high-resolution digital images.
02: For Event Photography
Learning about your event is critical to the success of your photos. We’ll meet and discuss your needs, and I’ll create a proposal for you. All you have to do during the event is relax; I’ve got it covered! 48 hours after the event, a sneak peek is delivered as I work on the rest of the gallery editing and retouching. The finalized full gallery of high-resolution digital images is delivered to you online within 30 days of the event.
03: Turnaround Time
Portraits: 14 business days. Events: 7 business days. Weddings: 60 business days.
04: Editing Style
My style is very true to the photos you see on my website and social media pages. Light, airy, organic, and warm.
05: The Highest Level of Care and Commitment
In every session that I do, I aim to give you the best experience possible. It’s important to me that you feel happy with how you are treated and that I provide you with outstanding photos that you love.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I always had an innate talent for visual arts. I developed my talent through experience (working at creative agencies) and from collaborating with other great photographers and creatives. Kristen Weaver has been my photography mentor.
I graduated from The University of Tampa with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Then, I pursued a Master of Science in Marketing.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have my parents to thank for my artistic and entrepreneurial influences; at a young age in Puerto Rico, they helped me cultivate my eye. They encouraged me to paint and draw to understand light, shape, and form. It wasn’t long before I picked up a camera and began to find my light inside it.
When I moved to Florida in 2008 to attend the University of Tampa, I pursued a degree in Psychology and a Masters's in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. I always knew I wanted to combine art and entrepreneurship, and being a photographer brings disciplines that fascinate me together.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Family, Couples, Maternity, Newborns, Babies, Children, Content Creators, and Entrepreneurs
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you love their style! Look at their portfolio carefully. Do you see a lot of candids you like mixed with posed photos? Are the photos dark and moody photos, or are they more light and airy? You should really like what you see on their website and their social media. Don’t expect different results than what you see in their work. Do the people in the photos look like they are happy and having a great time? That sort of thing cannot be faked by people who are not actors! Read their reviews and testimonials. You and your family will spend a lot of time with a photographer, so make sure you align with their values and that they are someone you feel comfortable with.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
1) What type of photoshoot are you wanting to have? Ex: Family portraits, maternity, headshots, etc.
2) In-studio, outdoor, or on-site?
3) How many people will be involved?
4) What is the look/feel/vibe you are looking for? Having a pinterest board or collection of images as example of what you want really helps!
5) How many final images?
6) Do you want prints, album, or wall art?
