Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Every project is different just like everyone is different! I customize each package to suit your specific needs. I do have set rates for a simple shoot but for an event or special occasion, we will work out something that works best for you! That last thing I want you worried about is the cost.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We will have a phone consultation to go over your shoot and figure out exactly what you need. We will figure out a time and location that suits best and make it happen :)

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been a photographer for several years and trained with a film maker, several other photographers and have spent almost every waking minute practicing, learning and mastering the craft. I love every aspect of this work!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Funny story actually, I did a "Savage Race" marathon with a GoPro and made a quick video of it. My friend, who's a film maker asked if I did this sort of thing and told him not really. Long story short, I started working with him, learned the in's and out's of the camera, photos, and video work and fell in love! I spent every waking minute (and some sleeping) learning, practicing and taking photos! I love every bit of it!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I started with fine art landscapes, traveled the world taking photos, been featured in magazines and galleries and have won awards. I am based in Clearwater and have shot with couples, individuals, businesses, kids and families. I still love to travel and have had clients bring me to them as well.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite projects I worked on was a wedding video for my best friend. She wanted me to be in the wedding but also couldn't find any other videographer that she liked. So we worked it out that I would not only be in the wedding but video the wedding as well. I walked down second with her mom, after placing the mother of the bride, I ran around and grabbed my camera and proceeded to film the entire wedding. It was a day event and editing took about 3 weeks but it came out so beautiful and she was thrilled with the result!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Finding a photographer and/or videographer can be tough. There are so many options and how do you really know that the work will turn out, not just good, but phenomenal (and let me tell you, I've heard some horror stories). When you hire someone for such a special task, you need to feel full confidence and never give it a second thought. The person should put you at ease, answer your questions and give you confidence.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
There are a few things that you can do to make your project a success. Have a list of example shots/styles you like. Have an idea of a budget but be willing to adjust (cheap photo/video work, well... I'm sure you've heard stories of hiring the "friend" to do wedding photos). And finally the best thing you can do is talk to your photographer. If you have a concern, voice it, have an idea, voice it. Don't be shy! The more I know about you, the better things will turn out!
