What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You look at my Portfolio and Pricing, and if you like what you see -- reach out. We will discuss the vision, the ideas, the vibe and your wishes. Then, we sign the contract finalizing our agreement. After that you'll receive the invoice for the 50% deposit. After it's paid, the booking is complete. Now we will discuss in great detail (or not - up to you, haha) your outfits, activities, scenarios and everything related to the session. Then, we meet at the location at the agreed time for our session. I will prompt and guide you the entire time, so you don't have to worry about posing! After the session, within 10-21 days (according to your plan) you will receive an online gallery with all your photos. Then, I love hearing your amazing feedback! And you may order the prints, wall art, photo books and greeting cards from my print store.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took photography class as a part of my graphic design education in 2017. In 2019 I took a few online classes that gave me basic understanding of composition, light, camera settings and directing the people. Later the same year I took part in a Master Class by one of my favorite Ukrainian wedding & family photographers that helped me to work with couples and families. It was very helpful in communication with people, helping them be authentic. Experienced photographers understand that communication during the photoshoot matters the most!
I still regularly practice my vision and composition skills, photography in different genres to keep my creative thinking sharp.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It started like a hobby, in 2017 I was only taking pictures of my family, friends and pets, and at some point it grew out and reached more people. And in April 2019 I started my career as a freelance photographer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Women of all ages.
Men of all ages.
Couples, including LGBT+.
Families with kids.
Wedding couples and vendors.
Small businesses.
All of the above with pets.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My favorite shoots are dramatic, windy love stories that are showing deep bond, a little tranquil gaze, and full trust. I love the emotional expressions so much, this is what makes the photos feel lively. The emotion is what makes my photography your heirloom.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at the portfolio and prices, and only then, if you like what you see - reach out to the pro.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Consider checking those: date, approx. location, how many people participate, mood and emotions, what you want to use the photos for, what would you like to look like. If you have some references (pics you like) please send them over!
