What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Hello everyone! I often get questions about how I work with new clients. So, I wanted to share a typical process that I follow: Initial Contact: When a new client reaches out to me through Thumbtack, email, phone, website, or social media, we start the conversation about their photography needs. Inquiry Discussion: I take the time to understand their requirements, including shoot dates, location, and any specific preferences they may have. Consultation: If necessary, I arrange a consultation meeting, either in person or via phone/video call, to discuss the project in greater detail. Proposal and Contract: Based on the client's needs and my expertise, I prepare a detailed proposal that outlines the scope of work, pricing, deliverables, and terms. Once we agree, we sign a contract. Pre-production Planning: Together with the client, I plan the shoot, which includes selecting a suitable location, creating a shot list, and discussing wardrobe, props, and other specific requirements. Payment and Booking: To secure my services for the shoot dates, the client pays the required deposit or the full payment, as agreed upon. Shoot Day: On the agreed-upon day, I arrive at the location, set up my equipment, and conduct the shoot, ensuring that we stay on schedule and capture the desired images. Post-production and Editing: After the shoot, I carefully select the best images and perform post-processing, which includes color correction, retouching, and any editing requested by the client. Delivery of Final Product: I deliver the edited photographs to the client in digital format. This can be done through an online gallery or file sharing services. Client Feedback and Revisions: The client reviews the images and provides feedback. If necessary, I make revisions or adjustments to ensure their satisfaction. Project Closure: Once the client is happy with the final product, we consider the project closed. Final payment is made, and any additional services, such as printing or album production, are fulfilled. I hope this gives you an idea of how I usually work with new clients. Building strong relationships and delivering high-quality work are important to me. If you have any questions or would like to book a session, please feel free to reach out!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Hey everyone! I wanted to share my journey into photography, and how it has become a passion and career for me. It all started when I began taking photos for my wife's beauty salon business. I realized how much I enjoyed capturing moments and telling stories through images. Later on, I volunteered at my local church as a photographer, and that's where my passion for photography truly blossomed. I found myself hooked on capturing the meaningful moments, emotions, and beauty within the church community. Interestingly, a few people from the church started inquiring if I would be interested in shooting photos outside of church events. I took up those offers and was hired a few times for different occasions. It was through these experiences that I further honed my skills and realized that photography was something I truly loved. Since then, I have been on a continuous learning journey in this career. I constantly seek to improve my craft, explore new techniques, and expand my knowledge. Each shoot is an opportunity for me to grow and create beautiful imagery that brings joy to others. Photography has become more than just a hobby – it has become a fulfilling career that allows me to capture precious moments and bring them to life through the lens. I'm grateful for the people who believed in me and gave me the chance to showcase my skills outside of the church. If you're interested in capturing special moments or need a photographer for an occasion, feel free to reach out! I'm always excited to work with new clients and create memorable photographs together.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Define your requirements: Clearly outline what you need the photographer for and the style of images you want. Check portfolio and reviews: Look at the photographer's past work and read customer reviews to assess their expertise and professionalism. Assess experience and specialization: Find out how long they've been in business and if they have experience in your industry or project type. Discuss budget and pricing: Be transparent about your budget and get a clear breakdown of their fees and any additional costs. Communication and collaboration: Ensure they are responsive and can understand and execute your vision. Consider turnaround time: Discuss the expected delivery time for the final images. Review the contract: Carefully read and understand the terms and conditions before signing. Trust your instinct: Choose someone whose work resonates with you and with whom you feel comfortable working. By following these steps, you can find a photographer who can deliver the images you need for your project or event.
