Introduction

I've been shooting since 2014 and have professional training in the field. I truly love many aspects of photography and enjoy everything from start to finish. I include editing and touch-ups when needed in my pricing. I have both print and wall-art available for purchase though a professional photo lab partner. I’m happy to announce that my partner, Dawn will be joining me. Dawn specializes in Newborn Photography. Dawn has previous experience with her own photography business along with in-hospital newborn photography with Bella Baby. I can capture family portraits, maternity shots, small wedding and events, headshots including individual and corporate groups. I also do commercial product photography and real estate as well. I provide discounts for group corporate headshots and for purchasing wall-art and print packages.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
For sessions under $500 in cost or booked less than seven days in advance, full payment is expected at time of booking. For all other jobs a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total amount is required to book date. Final payment due the day before shoot. Wall art and print packages available as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
For most shoots, I start by emailing you a questionnaire. This helps me get to know you better before the shoot and also helps me thinking about what is required for the session. Individual headshot sessions are delivered within 48 hours (many times 24). For group corporate headshots, participants will be able to view there images shortly after their session and can pick their final edited image on their personal device. Final edits are delivered within 24 hours. My process for portrait photography is uploading a gallery of unedited images within five days of the session. I’ve found clients love this because they get to see their images right after our session. From there they can select the images they would like to have retouched. This workflow has allowed me to deliver a final gallery within two weeks of the session (many times much faster!). Event photography galleries are delivered within three weeks of the event. I can give priority for select images if needed right away.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I was trained through Balanced Exposure Photography School in Schaumburg, IL.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My love for photography began with being unable to capture good images of wildlife with a Smart Phone camera. From there, I started to take pictures of my children and their activities. I really enjoy capturing landscapes, fireworks and architecture as well.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve captured portraits for families, couples, and newborns. I have done small weddings, bridal sessions and proposal shoots. I’ve been published in the Chicago Tribune through the Elgin-Courier. On the commercial side I can do group headshots, website photos, food photography and product photography. I’m also available for commission work with office decor. I've worked with a Chamber of Commerce capturing headshots for annual award nominees. I did photos for a website of a local Northwest Suburban Village. I captured some events through this work and also donated photography services to the Boys & Girls Club of Dundee Township.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I just did a group corporate headshot session for about 15 individuals. Everyone was fun and engaging to work with!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure your provider is insured and has the proper permits necessary to shoot at the location you choose if this is an on-location shoot.
