What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is reflective of my dedication and work to really perfect the images I capture. Pricing is made to account for not only the time spent completely dedicated to you and your session, but the hours dedicated to editing and perfecting your gallery of images.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to get to know my clients and what alllll their wants and needs are! I will offer an estimate and will always be available to answer any questions you may have throughout the process—I also like to really lay everything that’s included out for you so that everyone is on the same page!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

10+ years of photographing, 5+ years of fine art studies, earned degree in fine arts

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always absolutely loved photography, and has my very first professional camera at 15. Since then I’ve truly just photographed everything. My love of photography went from photographing my friends and family, to vast landscapes in the western US while on roadtrips, to capturing couples and families love for one another in weddings, engagement sessions and family sessions. I have loved absolutely every moment of all of it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Individuals/styled sessions, families (with young kiddos and old), couples/engagements and more.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of my favorite recent projects was a couples session with the beautiful Liz + Hillary. We shot at sunset for 2 hours in Kansas City and the lighting was just absolutely beautiful. Such a magical session!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire a photographer for their style and vision! Anyone can take a photograph (hello, iPhones!) but if you want your photographs to really capture your personality, your spark, and help memorialize those special moments, find someone who can capture all of those things and add that magical element to their photographing!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What are you looking for in a photograph? What do you want to remember? What’s special about your family, your relationship, your kiddos, your partner? How can I help capture that for you?
