Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
All projects booked require a deposit of 50% to hold the date and time requested. There are no hidden or additional fees involved in shoots, however, for events outside of a 20-mile RT radius, a 68¢/mi fee occurs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After some initial conversation, if we decide to work with each other, we will have an initial phone consultation to create the best possible plan for your shoot. After we have ironed out the details and set a date, I'll send a contract via DocuSign which is a breeze to fill out. After all that the only thing you have to do is get excited about the shoot!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I've been chasing my dream & shooting since I was 14 years old. I began as a concert photographer photographing bands in small bars & venues in Kansas City. Before long I was employed by two venues in the city, shortly after doing work for the NCAA Basketball, a Major League Soccer team & the United States Men's National Team between 16-17 years old. As I've moved towards college and navigated through covid, my focus has shifted toward wedding & travel photography which have tied together in amazing ways. The last year I have been traveling to amazing places to shoot weddings while getting to engage with nature at the same time.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My most frequent shoots are in the wedding/engagement sector, but I have covered nearly every shoot excluding the boudoir :) I formerly worked as a photographer for DoorDash and snappr where I did food photography, I have also done product, family/children's portrait, and event photography frequently.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find someone who is eager to work with you and passionate about what they do. Yes, many can do photography but those who have a true affinity for it reflect that in their photos and client experience, and that's what is truly important.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It's ok to not know what you want! The best photographers have dealt with an array of clients and situations and can give great recommendations on what to do. Our job isn't just clicking a shutter, it's finding the most unique locations, connecting your ideas, and creating images that tell the story you want to tell. Let your photographer know as much as possible and they will be able to connect the remaining dots from there!
