What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer three different wedding packages, and I offer payment plans.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I send a basic questionnaire to begin the inquiry process. This helps me get to know the couple, so I can recommend the best package for them. I then send them all the options and let them ask all the questions. In order to reserve your date, I require a signed contract and a 10% deposit. Some of my packages come with engagement and bridal sessions, so we go ahead and set a date for these. I love getting to know my couples prior to their special day through these shoots. If the package doesn’t include these shoots, I love to meet the couple over coffee or ice cream before their big day. I prepare a timeline for them prior to wedding day, so we will be organized and stress-free. I also send a more detailed questionnaire about a month out, so I don’t miss anything on your wedding day.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have taken many online photography courses and studied under many well-known photographers (Amy & Jordan, Katelyn James, Hope Taylor, and Rebecca Rice just to name a few).

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I asked for a camera for Christmas my senior year in high school. I have been taking photographs ever since, and I love it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Couples who are in love and want a professional to capture memories that will last generations to come.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Weddings are my favorite. They take all day, and then I have thousands of pictures to edit, but I enjoy every second of it! I love it!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

These pictures will hang in your home and sit in an album on your coffee table for years to come. Don’t settle. Invest in a photographer you love.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What style do you shoot? You don’t want to hire a dark & moody photographer if you want bright and sophisticated photos. What all is included in your package? You don’t want to invest $2k into your wedding photographer just to find out the photos aren’t included.
