Introduction

**If I do not respond via DM within 1 day please contact me via my website under the CONTACT page. I do not take wedding inquiries on this platform. If you're interested in wedding coverage, please be sure to utilize the form on the CONTACT page on my website.** --- First off, THANK YOU for being here! Photography has always been my #1 passion and a big part of everything I have done throughout my life. I quit my corporate marketing job in the midst of 2020 to take the leap and become a full-time freelance photographer, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I specialize in various forms of portraiture and weddings, but I have photographed a little bit of everything! I actually started photography by photographing concerts. I pride myself for my attention to detail, finding the best light and creating photos that will stand the test of time. When I am not holding a camera, you can typically find me eating pasta, attending concerts, cuddling with my 2 kitties (Ollie & Spike), reading/watching music biographies or thrifting anything from the 80s/90s. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to help make your visual dreams come to life!

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Whenever I am working with someone new, I like to get a sense of who you are as well as your needs whether that is through an in-person meeting, over the phone or email before scheduling a shoot date. Once there is a thorough understanding and agreement of how my customers needs can be met, we figure out a date/time and then I require a signed contract to solidify the booking.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am mostly self-taught when it comes to photography and lighting, but I have a Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University in Media Arts which has thoroughly helped me excel in this field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I mainly love this profession because I love connecting with people!! I used to work in corporate marketing before I became a freelance photographer and that work sucked me dry because of the lack of connection. Also, I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that my imagery will play a role in people's legacy throughout time.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I mainly work with couples, whether they are newly engaged, wanting anniversary images or family photos. I love capturing my couples over time and watching their families grow! I have also worked with numerous models and musicians around Metro Detroit. Some of my commercial work includes Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men, Birmingham Roast, Old Soul Vintage and the Detroit Lions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I just finished working on a project with Old Soul Vintage for Valentine's Day. We did numerous photoshoots of various models to display lingerie throughout the decades. This project featured lingerie from the 1900s all the way to Y2K.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would highly recommend hiring someone that takes you moments and milestones as seriously as you do! My mom passed away when I was 21, and having her photos with me/around me brings me so much warmth and gratitude, reminding me of her. This type of memorial is a big reason why I became a photographer. Photography is about turning moments into memories. That is a very important job that I don't take lightly.
