Introduction

My business stands out through the quality of work I produce for my clients, and the way I treat my clients. I create a variety of lighting and poses in portraits, and capture a cross-the-board array of photos when I photography events. do this for a very reasonable investment. I edit each photo to produce a high quality image while maximizing quality of each photo straight out of the camera. My turnaround is usually only a couple of days on edits for portraits, and 4 days on weddings and events. I truly enjoy all aspects of photography from lighting to composition to editing. I enjoy the process of producing each photo, and it brings me great pleasure to see my photos bring joy to others. I basically enjoy everything about my photography.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I tailor my price to the customer's needs, and price competitively to give clients a great bargain.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I work with a client by consulting with them to get an idea of what they need, and often research good locations for portrait sessions. Upon completion of a session, whether it be portraits, weddings or non-wedding events, I explain my turnaround time to clients. Upon completion of a wedding, portrait session or event, I edit the photos, and immediately notify the client when I post their photos to my client page. I also immediately send via priority mail their flash drive with high resolution digital copies of their edited photos. Payment is due on the day of photography. The only type of photography I where I require a deposit is wedding photography. A deposit for wedding photography is 20% of the total investment. I value good communication with my clients. I do my best to give clients a clear picture, no pun intended, of what I'm doing every step of the way. Here is the bottom line, however: I know how to wing it when necessary.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am self taught, with a wealth of experience. My first photography work on any professional level was 40 years ago when I was a senior in high school making photos for the yearbook. I'm always researching my field of photography, and editing of photographs. I also experiment with different lighting and camera settings.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started making many photos as a teen. I was a yearbook photographer in my senior year of high school from 1977 to 1978. That was my first experience on any professional level. I am 59 years old now. I have learned a lot.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Weddings, family portraits, child portraits, pet portraits, engagement photos, and events.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently photographed a man proposing to his fiance on the beach. By the time the young lady discovered me, I got some great shots of her reaction to the proposal.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Read their reviews, and check their Thumbtack profile to see if their background check is verified. And, of course, view their portfolio in detail. In my case, you can go to my client page, and view all albums that are not password protected. Some clients prefer their albums to be completely private, and so I set up a password for those albums.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
If your photographer has a passion about what their doing, produces a quality product, and has a heart for seeing their clients pleased, that goes a long way. I really enjoy what I do, and I get great satisfaction from seeing customers who are very pleased with my work for them.
